Ashley Johnson smiled to find a man, no older than 18 holding a dozen roses with a card.
"Ashley Johnson?" He asked.
"Yes," Her voice sang. "Thank you."
Ashley closed the door and smelled the beautiful roses. She pulled out the card. It was no surprise, they were from Rick. She pulled a vase from the China Hutch and put them into it. She added some water and set them on the table. Her smile faded when she realized it was time for an interview. She usually didn't mind interviews, sometimes she even looked forward to them. But she had really wanted to spend some time with Rick this week. She called her driver and the large black limo pulled up along the side of her mansion-like home. Ashley smiled as she got in.
"CNN Headquarters, Hollywood, California please, George," she said happily. George was her favorite driver. Although He was old, about 63, he was the best she'd ever had.
"Hey there Ashley," George croaked and gave Ashley his usual smile. "Got another interview today, eh?"
"Yeah," Ashley replied. "I guess being famous isn't always fun." She gave him a wink.
"Well, hopefully it'll be a lot more fun soon," Smiled George.
"I'll see you later, George!" yelled Ashley as she and her body guard climbed out of the limo.
Katie Couric welcomed Ashley into the studio happily. Ashley had been here twice. Once when she'd first produced a cd, and the other after she was already majorly famous. Ashley was back for a third time because of her newest relationship with Rick and her triple-platinum album, Tomorrow's Another Day. But 2,000 miles away, Ashley never would've guessed that a young cancer patient in a hospital was watching her...
