Big Love In A Small Town Part 1
|
Josh was never the type to admire a good girl. With his greasy black hair and leather pants, every bad girl out there could easily have been his. Just one glance from those beautiful blue eyes (most often glazed over) could make a girl go weak in the knees. Most of the time he fell for a girl like him, the classic curly-haired, smoking, drinking whore that enjoyed a good ride and sometimes even motorcycles. But Aria was different.
Aria was… perfect. Beautiful blue eyes, blonde hair and pearly white teeth made each and every mustang-driving quarterback want her bad. Her best friends called her Ar. She had two, named Megan and Ashley. Megan had curly black hair and pretty green eyes. Ashley had blonde hair and brown eyes. Aria never fell for bad boys. Or at least she hadn’t until now. She sat up at night sometimes, just thinking about what could happen if she and Josh ever spoke a word. Would he like her new jacket? Was her hair looking good today? These are things both of them thought would only happen in their fantasies. Until one fateful day when their lives took a turn and collided.
“Hey Ar! What’s up?” Megan sang down the hall.
“I’m on my way to history and it’s in a whole other building than my locker! How about you Megs?” Aria hurriedly yelled back.
“Same.” Megan said, now beside her.
“Awesome!” Aria said, cracking her gum. “Have you seen Ashley?”
“Oh, you know Ash, she’s probably late.” Megan laughed.
“Surely not on the first day?!” Aria questioned, her English accent sticking out loudly.
“Oh you’d be surprised!” Megan replied. “And you live in Seattle now, stop with that English crap.”
“Sorry, you know I can’t help it Megan.” Aria replied, a bit annoyed.
“Whatever. Hey! There’s Ashley!” Megan practically yelled as both she and Aria watched Ashley prance down the hall in a new light pink sundress that barely covered her perfectly tanned knees.
“Hola chicas!” Ashley sang. “Como estan?”
“Oh shut it,” Megan laughed. “How was Mexico?!”
“It was… amazing!” Ashley said, her eyes smiled dreamily toward the ceiling. “At least the boys were.”
“You really like those Mexican boys?” Aria inquired.
“Well of course! Especially the one with the musta-”
*Brrring! Brrring!*
The bells went off right as the three entered the classroom.
