" Well its true!" Taking a bite out of my food. Not under standing why it was so odd to him.

" My son failed me" he whispered. Looking at Rob then to Matt his head was hanging low.

" Its not your son… its me" pushing my plate away.

" No dear don’t be silly" April growled; glaring at her husband. " Its no one’s fault."

" Dad do you want to see your grand daughter?" Page’s voice sounded in the doorway.

" Where’s my grand baby" Rob called taking Kayla out of Page’s arms. Smiling alittle, I couldn’t help but think if he would act the same when Conner was born.

After breakfast everyone but April and me sat in the living room; Rob loved up with little Kayla and April cleaned:

" Ill do that just set down at spend time with Rob!" Taking the wash cloth out of her hands.

" Im not having you clean up" she protested taking the cloth from my hands.

"Why cant I?" looking at her oddly.

" Because, you don’t need to lose the other one" she sighed her eyes searching my face.

" What do you mean?" looking at her lost.

" Matt didn’t want to say anything but when he attacked you… he" she sighed.

" He what?" looking at her worried.

" He killed one of them" she sighed attacking me in a hug.

" The doctor said there was only one?" looking at her oddly.

" That’s because theirs only one of them that’s alive… the other is dead." Nodding I turned away from her; hurrying out of the room. Tears formed in my eyes; " no one tells me anything" I whispered/ sobbed hurrying up the stairs.

" Baby what’s wrong" Matt’s voice sounded from the living room.

" N…Nothing" I choked out; hurrying out of the room.

" Ronda" he called after me.

Running to the baby’s room closing the door behind me. Walking to the crib moving my fingers over the blankets that lay over the side of the wooden crib. " Why didn’t he tell me?" tears fell on the back of my lift hand.

" Ronda?" Matt’s voice echoed around the room.

" What" I answered walking over to the door; opening it just a crack.

" What did my mother tell you?"

" She told me the truth!" Glaring at him.

" What truth was that?" his face was blank.

" That the other baby died" still holding my glare.

" What are you talking about" his face was puzzled.

" She said you lied to me." Closing my eyes at the words.

" No I haven’t lied to you… she has to been finding reasons why you’re only having one child." His words sounded weird to me.

" So she wanted me to be mad at you for no reason?" wrapping my arms around him.

" She’s my mother, she’s odd like that." He sighed hugging me close.

" Why is having this baby spiting the family apart" taking a breath.

" Its wont… there just not under standing why theirs one and not two." His hands rubbing my back.

" Ive missed you… more then I thought" feeling tears form once more.

" Don’t worry ill tell them to leave" he whispered kissing my forehead.

" Im not saying it to be mean." I pointed out watching him close the door behind me.

Sighing I didn’t under stand why April would try and start stuff. Maybe I should be more worried about this. Maybe I should be easy on my self.
