Tales of Revenge (1)

Drama Created on 2-9-08 Views(91) Story Rating G

It was silent in the room, the warm orange lights that bathed them earlier were now off, and they could breathe properly again. The sheer silk curtains were useless to cover their writhing nude bodies in between the sheets, but no one could look from the ground to sixteen stories up from where they were standing.
Their plan in mind, they slept peacefully; they would need it over the next few days. Dan awoke first, before dawn even broke the calm dark horizon, because of a chirp of his phone. "Please... Let it not be Tracy..." reaching out for the gadget, he looked at the screen and breathed a sigh of relief. Walking to the restroom, he pressed the "answer" button. "Hello?"
His lawyer was confirming his appointment for the afternoon- to change his name and stay incognito for the rest of his life. After a brief conversation, he put down and silently stepped to the bed where Ingrid, his lover, slept.
Except she was not sleeping any longer. She was looking at the clock, and holding her own cellphone. With a look of concern in his face, he slid into the bed, hugged her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. "What's wrong, baby?" "Nothing... Just that I'm worried about your wife. We both know her unstable condition..." He kissed her again and whispered into her ear, "I know... But once we get out of here, we might escape her for good. Even if it means leaving the kids behind."  She didn't look too convinced.

Tracy was awake, she had not been sleeping for the past few days anyway. Worry pulsed through her veins, and she hoped very much her husband would arrive home soon; the kids were frightened he wasn't coming home too. The kids needed a father, and her job was only helping a bit with the ever-increasing expenses.
Her mental health was not superb either. She had another relapse a few months ago, and she was worried it would happen again soon. She could not be violent; she was told that she would be put into a straightjacket and warned that this time she night never be released. The voices in her head said otherwise...

A gold crack on the calm blue, light starting to fill the city. Hope and fresh air wafted into people's thoughts, and they were refreshed. Dan and Ingrid had checked out of the luxurious hotel already- they were then rushing to the lawyer who would save their skins. They carried a gun; they had to take care of another grisly task at hand. Dan knew his kids were about to open their little eyes to the world where they would never see their daddy again.
For the first time in months, he felt guilt in his heart. For those three years he was with his new love, he felt so carefree, until he saw his wife, the one he had fallen in love with long ago, nearly throw a knife right into her son who played truant. Everyone, except him, behaved since. He thought of the woman who worked so hard to raise her kids, and of the faithful person to who, he was about to leave for life. As they turned at a roundabout to the office, a single tear rolled down his cheek.
The lawyer was Tracy's friend, and she could not believe she was about to betray her best friend. Giving them the papers and explaining to them the legal documents, she thought about how Tracy would react if she told her. Taking the signed papers, she wished the new Donald Grunt and Julianne Dee a happy new life.
The letter was sent in three days, and when Tracy's eyes scanned the  letter, her heart sank, the voices screamed. The children were at school. All the commanders were screaming the same word over and over. her veins throbbed with fury, her rage boiling. KILL.

Donald and Julianne Grunt lived a great life in Manhattan. They were happily married, without any kids, and their quick kill was done the day after they walked into their new home. The old one dad, the new lawyer clueless of their past... Could life get any better?

Tracy Pippins thought otherwise. She had tracked them down over the two years they got away, and her kids were in childcare; she had godparents ready for adopting them. Her best friend, her lawyer, killed, "She deserved it...". She was travelling that day. She wanted to get as much time to torture as possible.

Tying a knot on the two, she pushed knives into both their butts, and cut off the little that was left of the stub she had sawed off. Without painkillers, they had cuts, burns, and even salt rubbed into their wounds, just so that they would be sore. She had stuffed the old, dead organ into the lover's hoo-hah, and that made maggots crawl in.
Using a cattle prod, she stunned them into submission before cutting out their livers and some lesser organs on a crude surgeon's operating table. She made sure the rope cut painfully into their hands, and broke most of their joints, as well as damaging their health. They were given only enough to survive.
She relinquished this, and even taped some of the more horrifying things, before suffocating them in water. The police met a cruel sight while she turned herself in.

"CRAZY WOMAN IN MENTAL HOSPITAL FOR  KILLING EX-HUSBAND AND LOVER" screamed the bold headlines of the papers. It was all over the news. She had sent the video of the week-long torture, before finally killing her husband painfully- drowning. Without another word, the staff had thrown her into the room without much light, leaving her tied up and out of harm's ways.
She smiled every day in the place, just before her execution.  She managed to leave laughing and screaming, before the blade lopped off her laughing head and ended all the life in her with eerie echos and silence in the halls.
