The Last Case Chapter 12

Other Created on 2-8-08 Views(36) Story Rating G

She just laid there, her mood blank as her face. Why did she try to seduce the loner? Only the deceased Caroline knew how to charm her way into his heart. What was she thinking? Was she trying to gain his heart, or his inheritance from his late family? The answer was not pure, in fact, she was trying to get his body and his wealth, or at least steal another to add onto her boyfriend list. A Chief Detective had eluded her grasp, eaten his way out… The only man who had enough to resist her body… The only one who fought back… The one who could attack and have eyes for no woman or man. Ian could only love his family and Caroline, his charming ravishing beauty… But the Devil had refused to reveal how he could hate her, for that was one of the conditions for her wish to be the most irresistible woman on Earth…
The visit from Caroline, the attack by Ian, but what had it all meant? She buried what was left of her limbs into the bed, the legs had been removed long before; the rest of her legs had to be amputated before she could lost her life to illness.

Patrick brought a bit of well-done steak in between  two pieces of buttered bread. He was committing the sin of glutton again.
Pauline brought another announcement with her. “Jim Tuckerman has gone missing. Another murder, I guess.” “Damn it! Johnson found another way to escape! We’ll hunt him down. Kill him at first sight. Expected to be armed… Arrest Marie James. She had helped him escape.” Monstru had done this fast, and ran out with Jack, to find the gang leader. The patrols were already out, and most of the Detectives stayed, to ponder on their recent cases. The civilians have been excused from work, and that day was chaotic, with the gang running every where. The detectives only went out when they had received news about a heart at the park, exactly where Tuckerman had gone before the missing report. The same results. It is from him, and it was the same saliva, with no fingerprints.
They have shot down many guilty men who had escaped with the burly brute. Monstru himself carried no weapon, save for a small dagger perched on and stashed in the hilt near his thigh. Hunter held a gun below his dark blazer, but he wouldn’t dare to attack; Ian had the merciless nature to kill without feeling the innocent soul gasping and fighting for life. It was as if he was a demon…
Johnson hid at the far end of the cave. The forest had a lot of hiding places. But Monstru knew them all, he had done so when he had been with Caroline for a hike on his twenty-sixth birthday. That might have been five years ago. He was running every where to find him, then he came up with a theory. “He might be hiding in the cave. Jack, relax. We will go to that stone behind the stalagmite-like thing.” He ran, and Jack was barely at his pace, the police officers were all confused, and two followed him. He would need at least one to protect both barely armed men, or did he?
“Johnson. I know where you are hiding… your scent is too distinguishable in this cave… Human blood and sweat are so prominent, innocent or not!” Monstru became inhuman both in his words and appearance. Hunter had also turned into another, except he looked the lesser of the both. The two policemen watched as Monstru  ducked because of the bullet. Hunter rolled and hid behind the granite rock, getting his gun ready for getting the gangster, as Ian scaled the wall. The revolver dropped. The final battle began…
Gabriel removed the sword he was carrying, and prepared to use it on the attacking man. He was directly above, but he missed the swift man. The eighth swipe removed the dagger. “Thinking of using your last attack? Won’t work.” He threw the small knife out of the stone walls. Hunter shot at the massive sword-wielder, and missed. He guffawed and ran at the foolish detective. The distraction worked, and Monstru pinned him down. He opened his jaws, revealing the canines of the feared aqua-predator, and his shades were ripped off, Johnson had attacked back. Jack’s was ripped off when he came near. But he regretted the action soon after, because their eyes were so… unnatural. He ran around, finding nothing but a small pendant, sapphire and diamond on a silver chain. Engraved on the small piece of jewellery was… Caroline. “I have your girl’s necklace here… Don’t make me throw this away and ruin its shiny hide!” “Never go near that present for my lady… I was about to propose to her, but… JUST LET GO OF IT!” “No.” “You forced me.”
He came from the back, and slammed him on the floor, his set of teeth ready to kill him. He used more pressure than crocodiles with their gaping violin jaws on their prey. The blood splattered everywhere, but the decapitation seemed to spur him to remove more of the dead body. “STOP, IAN, STOP!” Hunter was screaming. He pulled away the stronger assailant, and brought it to the people waiting outside. “Once again, Ian has killed. I can’t bear it. He actually beheaded him with his teeth…” The tanned guard winced. Ian tore off two pieces of flesh from the headless corpse, giving one to Jack and eating it. They were sick, weren’t they? They swallowed the meat from the bully.
They paraded on the streets, and with all the gangsters dead, they had conquered. The head of the elder deadly man who had worked his way up the crime world. The mobsters now truly knew the wrath of Monstru, who had attacked a beautiful woman. He was quite psychotic. The dinner he had was lousy, with just some vegetables uncooked, with no meat, or at least raw flesh. He had another long day ahead…
