"May I sit here?" Madi looked up from her notebook that she was writing in and looked up in the beautiful blue eyes of the most georgeous guy she had ever seen. He had black hair that fell right above his eyes, a black t-shirt that wasn't so tight that he looked like he was trying too hard, but was just tight enough to show off his very sexy body. His pants hung around his waist a bit, and looked like they would have fallen off if not for his belt.
"Sure," Madi replied. Madi watched as he lifted himself onto the ledge and noticed his blue boxers when he lifted up his arms. "i'm Gavin. I'm a freshman," he said to Madi as he held out his hand. "I'm Madi, and I'm also a freshman," she said, as she held out her hand to shake his. When their hands touched, Madi felt a fluttery feeling in her stomach, which made her jerk her hand back. "I don't bite," he said, laughing. It took all Madi had to not blush. "Come here often?" he asked her, as he glanced at the fountain behind her. "It's very relaxing." "Yeah, I love to come here and write. The sound of the water helps clear my mind so it's easier to write," she replied. "I like to write too," he said, "Only I mostly write songs. I can play guitar too, I just can't sing." Madi giggled at the face he made when he said that. Whats wrong with me, she thought to herself. I'm acting like a little girl with a crush.
"Hey, would you like to go to lunch with me?" he asked. Madi thought for a minute then replied. "Can I get a rain check on that? I've actually got a lunch date with my best friend today." "Yeah, thats fine. But first, can I have your number so I can call you to set up that lunch date?" Madi gave him her number, and then he helped her off the ledge. "Thank you," she said. "No problem. I'll talk to you later!" All Madi could do was wave as she was walking off. She wanted to get away before he could see that she was blushing.
"I can't believe that you said no!" Kara exclaimed to Madi. They were sitting in the cafeteria on campus. "You could have rescheduled with me. Don't you know that you never turn down a date with a hott guy?" "It wasn't a date," Madi replied, "He just wanted to take me to lunch." "Thats a date honey, whether you want to believe it or not,"her best friend said. "Can we talk about something else now please?" Madi asked. "You are such a prude!" Kara told her,"So when do I get to meet this totally sexy guy?" she asked, totally ignoring Madi's request to change the subject. "Probaly never. He is way too hott to be calling a girl like me." "I don't know what you are talking about," her friend repliled, "I guess you haven't noticed all the guys checking you out. Girl, you are hott, whether you want to admit or not. I wish you could see it." "I don't know Kara. It's just so hard for me to think about another guy. I feel like I am betraying Shawn." "Madi, do you really think Shawn would want you to never date again and to be unhappy for the rest of your life?" "No," Madi replied. "Ok then. Come on, we need to get you some cute outfit so that when he calls you for that date, you'll be prepared," Kara said, getting up and making her way to throw her trash away.
