           "Oh my gosh, I am so gonna trip and fall!" Madison Andrews said to her best friend, Kara Anderson. "Don't worry, you aren't going to trip Madi, so just calm down. You are just nervous." said the blonde-headed Kara. Oh man, Madi thought to herself, as she looked around the auditorium. There had to be at least four thousand people or more seated in there, anxiously awaiting the graduation process to begin.

          Madi squirmed in her seat and Kara looked at her and started laughing. "What?" Madison asked. "Oh, nothing," Kara replied, "It's just if I didn't know you, I would take one look at you and think that you would be the last person in the world to be nervous you would trip onstage." "What is that supposed to mean?" Madi asked her best friend. Madison and Kara had been inseperable since they were in diapers. Their mothers had been friends since high school, and were still close to this day. They even lived 3 houses down from one another. "It's just you always look so confident, and like you don't care what anyone else thinks of you." Kara said. "Well, I don't care what everyone thinks of me. I just don't want to trip on stage. You know mom would keep that picture forever, and every Christmas Martin would make it the main topic." Madi replied. Martin was Madison's twin brother, who was also the head of the football team and the best athlete in the school. When they were younger, Martin and Madi had looked just alike... from the blonde hair and bright blue eyes all the way down to their dimples in their left cheeks, and even their walk.  The twins had always been close, that is up until the past two years. Ever since Shawn, Madi's ex boyfriend, had died in a horrible car wreck, Madi had distanced herself from just about everyone. Except for Kara. Kara was the only one that Madi felt she could talk to about anything and could trust wouldn't trust wouldn't judge her.

     Kara and Madi were so different from each other, they were like complete opposites. Kara was a preppy cheerleader and Madi hung out with the skaters and punks. Madi had been a cheerleader, up until Shawn's wreck. After that she had just felt like nothing in the world mattered anymore. She had started to cut herself, something that she still dealt with to this very day. The only person in the world that knew about this was Kara, and Madi had even been hesitant to tell her.
