Chapter 1
The Beginning
Far away in a world like Earth, life begins. In a period of time on the planet named the Creation Era, many wizards gather in a mountain top, overseeing an empty planet. As they watch clouds bring rain and fire brings forth the landscape, the wizards congregate over their future creations. They become a council and are devised of ten wizards, the two wizards that were the head of the council were Bwalin and Gobilan the most powerful and wise, all with intentions to create life for the planet. They begin by creating the many homes for the life at hand. They create the great forest of Gozdoth, with many caves and dwellings, far beyond Gozdoth the wizards create the white forest, a sacred place where the worlds most intelligent and wise shall live. Mountains were formed, as well as lakes and streams, oceans and plains. The wizards then create the Capital of the land, dubbed Spearington the ruling city where all life may dwell. Gobilan out of the ten suggested another city where the dominant species would rule, and in favor of all the wizards it is created and known only as the Golden City up high below the mountain domain of the council. As they peered over the land they end the creation of the world with one more location, the realm of afterlife, the realm was an elegant hall shaped in gold and diamonds, the halls were peeked with several domes to harbor the many dead, the afterlife would be a great experience for all who attended with unlimited resources and pleasures, this place would be known as the Halls of The Dead. They decided for every good being there must also be that evil spirit, so the wizards created the Dungeons of The Dead, a horrid place a single hall lined with prison cells where the evil beings would stay and be kept for eternity.
Next of course, the wizards decided to create the true life of the planet, the organic life forms that would rule the planet. They chose to start by creating the most fierce and largest being they could imagine, the dragon. The dragons would live in the caves and deep forests, and they would serve as brute force of the wizards who were the only beings they were to obey. When the ten saw how great the beasts were, they decided to take another way with the next creation, starting small the created birds and fish, and a large range of wild life, some of which are found on Earth. They now started to make more dominant life, the goblins and orcs, which would be bitter enemies of an almost absent intelligence, inhabiting the forests and mines of the caves. For the many highlands of the world they decided to create the first real intellect in a life form, so they created the Dwarves, a small, intelligent, reasonable, yet brutal species. The Dwarves dwelled in the highlands often as farmers of the land, who kept to themselves, but they were the first species who were set aside from all the rest, they were organized and civil to their own kind, and through many attacks by orcs and goblins, they were the first to form regiments of an army. The wizards had been very pleased thus far with the dwarves. Bwalin had become restless with in completion of the organic life forms, though he favored the Dwarves, he couldn’t help but to want more species. Several lands had been empty without the touch of life. As he gathered the council once again, he stressed how the world had become incomplete. The council decided on two more races, the first being the wisest of the land, the creatures whose domain would be the forests, green and white, and the beings would be separated into two separate species, they were the Elves. The Elves that dwelled in the white forests would be the wisest of the two, masters of projectile weaponry, mainly the bow and arrow, and then there were the Elves of the green forests, who lived in the trees and fought from the skies with spears, they were known as the Lancers, powerful and just. The council had been divided in half, half favored the dwarves for there technology, the other half were partial to the Elves for their wisdom and social behavior. Bwalin then stood before the council to settle the disagreement by suggesting an alternative, the next race in line for creation would be the best from both sides, wise intelligent and capable of technology, they would live in the capital of the lands, Spearington, they were of course Human kind. Even though this proposal settled many of the wizards, it had angered Gobilan and a few others. They came to the agreement that mankind would come with faults, yes they were to live in Spearington and be the best of both Elves and Dwarves, but they would also be the first race of random traits, being of course some would not be as intelligent as others, they would be corruptible, and some would be cursed with greed. After all had been created the council decided to create a golden box, about the size of a grown mans fist, but with the very power they had used to create the entire planet. If and when the box was needed it would be destroyed releasing the power unto the planet destroying all that had been created, except two beings of any race who were the kindest of heart and action who would be left behind to live on and procreate the world. The box would give the beings power enough to create as they wish.
When the council decided on a compromise of the human kind, many began to ponder the Golden City, and who would rule the city. The first suggestion was that a king from each race would live in the city governing their domains. This was favored amongst the majority of the wizards, but Gobilan was furious, his lust for a master race proved to be a disaster for the world. As Bwalin was sent forth to collect each king from the many realms, Gobilan had destroyed the council setting a blaze to the chamber of the wizards, killing all but himself. He then, all alone, created the master race, by merging mankind with the fiercest beast of the planet, the dragon, the creatures were human like with a ten foot dragon wing span who breathed fire, and had the blackest eyes, they were known as the Drakens, Gobilan sent all he created to the Golden City, now engulfed in these flying fire breathing creatures, Gobilan made a prophecy for them, when all the Drakens had mastered their skills in battle they would leave the Golden City as conquer the world, and in doing so all the other races would perish. Soon enough Bwalin had seen what had become of the Golden City and immediately returned to the mountain where he saw the destruction of the council, his brothers lay dead on the floor and Gobilan placed in a new throne high above the wizards bodies. Bwalin with all his power struck Gobilan down and placed before him a curse of horrible disfigurement and an absence of power, and before Bwalin could take his wisdom and intellect, Gobilan ran from the chambers and fled into the forest where no one would see him ever again or so everyone thought. And as Bwalin circled the chamber wondering how he could solve the problems Gobilan had put on the world, he had noticed that the gold box had been gone missing. Bwalin decided to add to Gobilan’s prophecy, he made it to where the Drakens couldn’t leave the Golden City unless they were called upon by a king to fight, and before he could go any further, his power had been drained. The next thing Bwalin could imagine doing was unifying the good races under one king, one child he had foreseen would be born who would unite Humans, Elves, and Dwarves alike under one banner for one common purpose, life. When the time came for impenetrable fate of the planet, he will rise above the oppression of death and take up swords for the fight in the event of the world known only as the War of The Races.
