     Aria, still weak from healing, awoke from a deep sleep by the sounds of screaming. She rushed over to Oriya who was fast asleep yet screaming in pain. Her skin was as white as snow and her hair was silver as the moon. Her normally white blouse was blood stained at the waist, but there was no wound.

"Dark magic!" the queen shuttered. She knew that this was not just an old childhood argument, but a war between whats good and evil, like many other battles.

"WHATS GOOD AND LOVE I SACRIFICE
TO GIVE HER BREATH, MY OWN LIFE" Aria shouted as she placed her hands on Oriya's heart and forehead. The queen sacrificed her life for "the old wise witch". She collapsed to the ground, taking in her last precious breaths, waiting as her heart rate dropped, slowly returning to the earth.

     Oriya shot up gasping for air and looking around her. Her waist felt cold and damp. She looked down in horror when sho noticed her hand covered in blood. Where was it coming from? There was no wound or scratch.

      To her left, Aria was lying there unconscious. She gasped when she realized, she had to save the queen.

     Jumping off the loft, she recalled the sharp pain that jolted up her leg. It was really broken. Adrius was smart, maybe to smart for an old wise witch. She hobbled out to the old oak tree and prayed that it would give her something to help the queen.

     With all the good magic she needed, she turned around to find 3 wild animals. A snarling wolf foaming at the mouth, a untameable red fox with hatred in his eyes, and a squirl with his fur standing up. She giggled at the squirl, but was quikly reminded of the terror of the other two animals. Would they try to kill her?

    The wolf stepped up, bowing before her. He growled and barked once. She nodded hoping that it would be the right thing to do. He snarled and signaled the others to fallow him back into the cave. Frightened, Oriya hobbled after them, but was quickly stobbed by the two animals.

     Oriya watched in horror as the wolf breathed onto Ariya's neck. The queen opened her eyes as if to wake from a long deep sleep.

"Guardian." Aria whispered.
"We heard the call of sacrifice."
"But i didnt send one."
"I know, your friend did."

Oriya couldn't understand him. The queen stood up and shook the dirt off her cloak. She laughed at the sight of Oriya's face. There was a line across her brow, her mouth was bunched up to the side and her nose was crinkled up. A clear sign of confusion.

     Aria touched Oriya's temple, now Oriya could understand what the animals said. They wherent threatening me. They where protectig their queen.

"Forgive me" the wolf spoke softly " we where not aware of your closeness with her majesty.
"Its' perfectly allright" Oriya shivered. She was talking to a wolf for goodness sakes.
"Please dont be scared of us, wise witch" the foxed said, "We, like you, are cursed by Adrius and silently serve the queen."
"Aria, why don't you heal them like you did me?"
"So they wont be charged with treason."

     Oriya finally understood. This was war.
