   When I woke up the next morning I wasn't surprised to see that Nick had left. Even though I wasn't surprised that he had left, I was still hurt that he had left. Out of nowhere I felt someone jumping on my bed, and hugging me. I looked up at the person only to see a crying Joey.

    "Oh, Serenity, I was so worried about you I thought you were dead," He cried while hugging me. For a 13 year old, he is such a baby, I couldn't help think.

     "Well I'm fine Joey, so you don't have to worry, ok?" I asked. He nodded his head, and gave me another hug.

     "The doctor said you could go home today. Then you can go back to school on Monday," I heard Dad say from somewhere in the room. Since I couldn't see him because I was still stuck in Joey's hug.

     "Joey you can let go of me now, I'm not going anywhere," I told him. He let go, and he looked up at me with those puppy dog eyes of his.

     "Promise?" He asked while sticking out his pinky. I hooked my pinky with his, and he smiled. Ever since Janet abandoned Joey, and me he has been afraid that I'll leave him like she did. About 2 hours later I was finally able to go home. All of Sunday all I did was rest. Jess, Ruby, and Andrea came over to keep me company. Jess also gave me all the gossip that she had. Nick never came over once, or called. I couldn't understand why he was avoiding me. On Monday morning I got a ride with Jess, and Ruby. When I got to school the first thing I did was look for Nick. I saw him getting out of his car in the parking lot. I ran over to his car to talk to him.

      "Hey," I said. He turned around slowly from his car, but when he turned around I didn't see the happy Nick I was used to. I saw a look of pain, and regret on his face.

      "Nick what's wrong?" I asked while reaching for him. He moved away from my hand. I was hurt, and confused.

      "Nothings wrong Serenity, everything is fine," He said in a monotone voice.

      "Why are you lieing to me?" I asked with a hint of anger in my voice.

      "I'm not lieing to you," He said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

      "Yes you are, I can tell by the way your acting," I practically yelled at him. If there was one thing I couldn't stand was being lied to my face, and I was going to find out what was wrong.

      "Why would I lie to you Serenity, huh? What would I gain from lieing to you?" He asked me annoyed.

      "I don't know, but I can tell your hiding something from me, and I want to know what it is!" I yelled at him.

      "I would have no reason to hide anything from you, and besides it is none of your business if something is wrong with me!" He yelled back at me with so much anger, and annoyance in his voice. I could feel the tears start to fall down my face, but lucky for me it was raining outside so you really couldn't tell if it was just rain, or really tears. I saw a look of concern come across Nick's face.

       "Are you crying?" He asked me reaching for my face. I turned away from him, and started to run away from him. I could hear him calling my name from behind me. I was almost at the school when I felt him grab my wrist, he grabbed my other wrist, and pulled me into a hug. I pathetically tried to pull away, but he wouldn't let me go.

       "I'm so so so sorry, Serenity," He whispered in my ear. He let me go a little bit then grabbed my face in his hands.

       "I'm sorry I made you cry," He whispered one more time before he leaned down, and placed his lips gently on mine.

Hey guys sorry it took me so long to post a new chapter up. My mom banned me from the computer until I cleaned my room. So I hope u guys like this chapter. Until the next one.  ENJOY!!!!
