   The rest of the week was extremely uneventful. I got a ride home from Jess, and Rubys dad everyday. Nick hadn't talked to me since that day he offered me a ride. I know I shouldn't have felt hurt, but I did. When he asked me for the ride that was Monday, know it's Friday. He hasn't said one word to me since then. I think I somehow hurt his feelings when I refused his ride.

   As I was walking to meet Jess, and Ruby to get my ride home, I saw Nick heading to his car. I wanted to talk to him, and find out what I did to make him mad at me, but I was to much of a chicken. I was crossing the street when the girl in front of me dropped her book. I ran out into the street, and grabbed her book.

   "Excuse me, excuse me!" I hollered at the girl. The girl turned around and looked at me questionably.

   "Um...you dropped your book," I said handing her the book.

   "Oh, thank you, I didn't even realize that I dropped it," She said grabbing the book from me.

   "It was no problem," I said to her. She smiled, and thanked me again, then walked away from me. I started to continue walking across the street. Then I noticed Nick staring at me from beside his car. I felt like a deer caught in the headlights. Suddenly I heard a beeping noise, when I turned to see what it was I saw a grey van coming straight for me.

   There was no time for me to move out of the way. All I could think about at that time was how stupid I was for standing in the middle of the street in the first place. I was also stupid for letting Nick distract me.

   I was preparing myself for the impact when suddenly I was hit from my side, and landed on the ground. My head, and back hurt like a bitch. I heard car tires screech, and people screaming. When I finally opened my eyes I saw the most beautiful thing in the world. I saw those grey eyes i had dreamed about. Nick's face was so close to mine that if I leaned up a little my lips would meet his.

   You almost got hit with a car, and your thinking about his lips, I thought. Oh yeah, I was so falling for him to fast. I felt his cold hands touching my head. When he touched the back of my head I winced.

   "Does that hurt?" He asked me. I nodded.

   "Someone called 911, an ambulance will be hear anytime to take you to the hospital," He told me. 

   "Okay, but...um....Nick could you do me a favor?" I asked.

   "Sure, whatever you want," He responded.

   "Could you...um...get off me," As soon as the words left my mouth I wanted to take them back. He got a confused look in his eyes then realization hit him, and he got up. He told me to stay laying down until the ambulance got there. 

   At hearing the word ambulance I started to panic. I had always hated hospitals. I actually had a huge fear of hospitals. I know it sounds weird, but true. 

   I think he could detect my panic because he grabbed my hand, and tried to calm me down. The ambulance arrived about 5 minutes after the accident.

   The perimedicts got me on the streacher, and started to load me into the ambulance. They let Nick ride to the hospital with me. He held my hand the whole ride there.

   "Nick," I whispered. He looked down at me.

   "Please don't leave me," I asked him. He got a weird look in his eyes. Something that looked like confusion, and what looked like....love?

   "Of course, i won't leave you Serenity," He said. Then he leaned down, and kissed my forehead. I smiled at the feeling of his lips on my forehead. I took one last look into his eyes then everything went black.
