She stormed through the door with tears running down her cheeks trying to get away but couldn't see because she was crying so much. He jumped up, being her best friend, he tried to comfort her.
"Hey what's wrong Amanda?" Adam said as he grabbed her hand,
"Nothing" she turned away, embarrassed that he had seen her crying.
"Gotta be something," Adam said, "people don't cry like hat when nothings wrong with them unless they're mental, and I KNOW your not mental." Amanda replied with "how do you know I'm not mental? There's appearently something wrong with me if Daniel thinks he needs to cheat on me..."
Adams face got pale at first and then turned red in color with anger, how could anyone cheat on Amanda? he asked himself, she's beautiful, smart, funny, and talented, popular, kind and just absolutely amazing..., Adam and Amanda have been friends since preschool and Adam liked her since preschool but he never told her.
"He cheated on you?" he said.
"He's cheating on me him and his new girlfriend are in the janitors closet now." 
She was still crying, not as much as before though but she tried to calm down and she started shaking with rage and sadness again.
Adam, trapped in his own thoughts, realized this finally and hugged her.
"Hey hey hey, take it easy Manda, shhhhh, I never even liked him anyway he was rude and not very kind to you." 
"I know I know, but what makes me really mad is that it's only 2 weeks before the prom...now i don't have a date" she replied trying to calm herself again. "That's not true, you have me I know you always wanted to go with a guy that was 'super cute' and I know that im not your boyfriend or anything but I could take you...if you want"
She stopped crying, "R-Really? Y-You would?" she maneged to say.
"Of course!" he said.
"Don't you have plans that night? I mean Susan, Dawn, and Jessica, said you did and that's why you couldn't go with them" 
"I just said that because i didn't want to go with any of them."
"Why not?"
"Because i didn't want to go with someone that i didn't like in a relationship kind of way..."
"Oh..."
"So it's set then, we're going then?"
"Yeah..." she said with a smile
"Okay."
"Thanks Adam, thanks a lot"
she turned to leave but then turned back and gave him a friendly kiss on the cheek.
He blushed, he was so happy he stood there for a moment watching her walk down the crowded hallway then realized that he needed to get to science class before the lunch bell rang.
So he hurried off.

"That mother fucking bastard!!!" Kelsey, amanda's best female friend,
 said. 
"Then I ran into Adam and he helped me feel better then said that he'd take me to prom." said Amanda
"Awww, Amanda's secret crush's gonna take her to the senior prom!"
"SHHHHHHH!!!" Amanda said looking around making sure noone had heard her.   
"But wait...didn't he turn down Susan, Dawn, and Jessica because he was 'busy' that night?"
"Uh, yeah he said he didn't wanna go with someone he didn't like relationship wise."
"So that means he likes you too!"
"No no no, he probably means like a friendship relationship kinda thing...I think"
"So you don't know what he mean by that?"
"Not really." Amanda admitted.
"Girl you better find out! we're graduating soon! If you don't know soon you might miss the chance at a relationship with him! After we graduate we're all leaving this nasty little hick town you might not see him again!" 
"But i can't just ask him! What if he just laughs at me? What if he thinks im a desperate stupid whore or something?"
"Then we gotta make him say that he likes you or look for signs that say he likes you."
