I almost gasped when I saw Dante in that bed. Not even I had been beaten that bad. His face was a mass of bruises and cuts. The rest of him was covered so I couldn't see if any damage had been done to other parts of him, but I knew it had.

I sat down in the chair next to his bed, he was asleep and I had no intention of waking him. So I sat there and let my mind wander.

The first thing to pop into my head was people who damaged hot guys when there was already a distinct lack should be severly punished. And the next thought was: I wanted to hurt whoever had done this. Not just pyschically, but mentally, emotionally, because that always hurt worse. Like in Harriet the Spy where she totally crushes all those kids. That's what I wanted, but worse. So I started coming up with plans. Ones that wouldn't work, but were nevertheless fun to fanatsize about.

After a while, I fell into a doze. I don't know for how long, because I had no watch and there was no clock in here. And my cell phone was dead at home. But I woke up to Dante's hand gently tapping my arm, the only part of me he could reach without having to move too far.

"What are you doing here?" he seemed genuinley suprised to see me.

"Apparently, sleeping," I answered in my usual sarcastic manner, disregarding courtesy for the injured. "It seemed like the popular thing at the time."

He gave a faint smile. "No, seriously, Why are you here?"

"Because I think we need to come up with a Plan of Retribution. The Flock must not be allowed to get away with this. This is America after all, loand of free speech, and you have just had an infringement on your rights that must be resolved." I declared all this dramatically, going for the Patrick Henry approach. Although I never could remember if they'd hanged him or not for his 'Give me liberty or give me death' speech.

Dante was grinning now. "And how do you advise we do this?"

I was pleased that he seemed excited. This was like a chance for Ultimate revenge.

"Well, that;s why I'm here, isn't it? Can't plan it on my own."
