*Samantha's POV*

          It was just the average Thursday morning and I had to get up for school. I could hear my mother and father chatting in the living room so I knew that it was time to get up. They were pretty much my alarm clock. I looked at my cellphone and it said 6:45 am. I woke up late!

          I got up and went into the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth and do all the things that make me clean. Then I put on my clothes. Nothing too fancy. Just some blue jeans, a green and black stripped shirt, and some white flip flops. Yeah I know, not anything that a girl would wanna' wear but I didn't want to be late for school.

          I grabbed a piece of toast and juice box or orange juice and headed out the door. I heard my father calling me. I guess I should have said something before I zoomed out all quick.

"Have a good day, Samantha!" he yelled.

"You too!" I yelled back.

          I got onto my bike and peddled to school. I would usually let my mom or dad drive me but obviously they weren't in the mood for driving today. That took about 15 minutes but at least I got there. As soon as I stepped into the school the bell rang. The doors of the classrooms shut one by one, like a domino affect.

          I went into my first block: History. Mr.Sanders was the teacher and he was pretty harsh. I dreaded being late in his class. If it was just 5 seconds he would humiliate you in front of the whole class. As I stepped into the classroom I looked at him. He had a blank facial expression.

"Miss Johnson, do you mind telling us why you're late?" he asked me.

"I had a rough night," I said as I began to recite what he usually desires us to say. "I apologize for not coming on time to get education to become something in life, I apologize for interupting my peers learning experience and I will try my best for it to not happen again.

         I sighed and walked to my desk. I listened to him lecture for about 30 minutes and the other hour seemed like 5 seconds. I heard the bells ring and I grabbed my books to go switch classes. Right when I was about to walk out, Mr.Sanders called my name.

"Samantha, could you please come to my desk?"

          I rolled my eyes and turned around to walk to his desk. He took a sip of water in a "Best teacher" coffee mug. He put his hands together and put them on his desk.

"Samantha, you're a smart girl but your grades are slipping up and I want you to do more studying," he said to me in a stern but yet polite voice.

"I'm sorry Mr.Sanders, a lot of things are going on at home and it's just hard for me. But I'm going to try to do better," I said as I started to get up and walk into the hallways.

"That satisfies me, I expect great things out of you Miss Johnson."

          I saw my "see-ya-when-I-see-ya" friends in the hallway. Her name was Michelle, she was beautiful. And I have to admit, I would get sorta jealous at times. Escpecially when I saw her with her boyfriends.

"Hey Sammy! Wanna hang out today?" she asked me.

"Ehhh..." I thought for a minute. What did I have to lose?

"Sure..." I said.

"Great! Meet me at my house right after school." she said.

                                            ***After School***

         I just came out of Orchestra practice. Yes, I'm an istrument geek. My only real friend, Alex Mitchell walked beside me. We had a strong connection with each other. I looked over at him and he looked at me. We both laughed for no apparent reason.

"Are you going anywhere today?" he asked me.

         He was going to ask me to go somewhere with him! I was about to say yes but I remembered that Michelle and I were supposed to hang out. She just had to ask me on this day.

"Um, yeah, I'm hanging out with Michelle." I said.

          He had a kind of disappointed expression. I felt a bit guilty but I didn't know he was gonna ask me to hang out.

"I'm sorry. Well see ya tomorrow," I said as I started to walk out of the school.

         He grabbed my wrist and I turned around.

"I love you, Samantha." he said.

         And after he said those 4 words, my life changed completely.
