I looked at my house one last time, and I was never going back. I don't care if I died somewhere on the streets, I couldn't go back to that pit of hell. But what would happen to Kate? I couldn't just leave her there.

Oh well, she decided to put up with Joe. Why should I have to fix a grown woman's mistakes? So I looked ahead, and walked forward. Where was I going to go? Where would I live? What will I do? I walked for about 3 miles, and finally fell to my knees.

I was cold and it was impossible for me to cry. I looked up, and saw a girl standing above me. She looked demonic and evil, I was actually scared of her. Holding out her hand for me to get up, she said, "Anne."

Her voice was cold and raspy. Was Anne her name? Instead, I took her hand and she pulled me up. But then I realized, she wasn't as evil as she looked. She was a girl, just like me. "Why are you with a suitcase?" she asked me like a 4-year-old child.

"I'm..." I couldn't get the words out. I didn't want to tell her that I was running away, maybe she might tell somebody, and they would take me back to Joe and I know that I would die.

I gulped and tried to speak again. But my throat was dry and I couldn't get the words out. My throat was like a desert, and her words were like the sun. So that made it even worse.

"What are you out for?" she asked, once more. She was pretty much determined to find out why I was in this position. "I'm..." I had to release the truth. I couldn't just lie to someone I didn't know.

"I'm running away." I said. Her mouth dropped open.
