Bo

When I woke up today I heard dad on the phone. When he wasn't drunk, he was the most business like dad ever. I heard him talking louder than ever. I could hear another voice, too. He was on speaker-phone. I didn't want to get up, I had to hear what he had to say.
That's not true.
You know she can't live without her family.
We're good by ourselves. I can take care of her, damn it. She can even take care of herself if she wanted.
Well when she comes home from school, she'll be seeing her mom and her little sister.
Click. (the phone hung up)

Was mom coming home? Oh gosh, that would really change my life. But I don't know if dad is going to let mom back in. I got up to go in the living-room where dad was having that serious conversation. I sat down beside him. "What's wrong, dad?" I asked. I knew what was wrong. But I wanted to test him to see if he tells the truth. He coughed a little and began, "Well, I can't tell you now. But when you come home, just, I don't know. Just be prepared for something major." After he said that I put my head in my knees.
After I got dressed, ate breakfast, and freshened up, I watched a little T.V. Some dating show, at 7:30 am. That was something I never expected. "I'm leaving, Dad." I said. He told me to have a great day and that he would see me at 3:30. I walked out into the cold morning. I should have turned back around. I felt like something bad was going to happen to me. Looking over my shoulder, I saw a group of boys. Probably ranging from ages 15 to 19. I swallowed some of the cold air. I sneezed, and that made them laugh. Tons of giggles were coming from them. I was brave enough to ask.
"Is there a problem?" I said it loud. I knew they couldn't do anything to me, because a lot of people were out. "No, not at all, skunk." I don't think I heard them right. "Excuse me. I don't think I heard you right,  could you repeat that?" They couldn't come up to me and start being all mean. I belong here too, and they can't call me names. Gosh I was so mad. "Get her!" I heard one shout. I took off, and they started running behind me. I ran so fast. My legs couldn't stop me. Faster than lightning.
After about 5 minutes, I had the courage to look behind me. They were still chasing me. I was at the school yard. And everyone was on the campus making-out, reading, on a laptop, or doing something else. I was out of breath. And I was glad that someone was there to save me. Everyone turned to look at me when they saw an average girl, running from 8 boys. Wacky, eh?

I was traumatized. What if they see me again, and try to hurt me. But I'm going to get over that, Dad'll make sure they don't mess with me. Hopefully.... I wondered about Joe. As I was walking down the hallway, I ran right into him. Out books collided in the air. Everyone saw and laughed. Pam and Gia saw. Shaking their heads, and rolling their eyes, the walked away. They didn't even try to help me. "I am so sorry, Joe. I didn't mean to. Honest." I sounded like a squealing pig. Was he going to say anything.
"It's ok, don't sweat it." he said picking up the books. Great, now he's going to think of me as clumsy. Wait. I actually heard his voice. And it sounded great. "You talked to me yesterday, in math. 'Member?"
"What did you say at the end of your sentence?" I don't think he understood me. "I said 'member?" I was trying to say remember, but I was in such a rush. "Do you mean, remember?" he asked. "Yeah. Sorry." I said moving my foot along the floor. "Oh yes. I remember you. You were the girl who kept sending me notes. Gosh my arm itches sooo bad." I backed away.
I hated to scratch myself. He lifted up his shirt sleeve to scratch. His long black shirt sleeve. I was right. I knew he cut himself. Hundreds of them [cuts] were on his arm. He quickly noticed them, and pushed the sleeve down. He knew I looked horrified. "Hey listen, I know you noticed these cuts, right?" he asked me. I nodded my head.
I just hope to Dear God that its just that he ran into a lot of thorns...

Joe
Today, that girl named Bo and I walked into each other. The more I see her, the hotter she gets. I'm not like most emo's, I talk a lot more than them. "Hey listen, I know you noticed these cuts, right?" I asked her. I had to scratch my arm, and I revealed every cut I had. She nodded her head. "It's not all like i just cut myself on purpose. I just wanted to talk to you. You seem nice. So you wanna go out and get some---" I didn't have the chance to finish.
Randy, the jock interrupted us. He never liked me. He would take everything I had. That's exactly what he was doing now. He put his arm on the locker that was infront of Bo. Which blocked my view of her, and blocked her view of me. "Emo is just an excuse for guys to act like girls." He said with a cold voice. "Let me take you out. Trust me, you'll have fun." I was hoping that Bo would say yes.
But guess what came out of her mouth, "I'd love to." How could she be that stupid. That crushed my heart, my little black heart. For a second it was turning red.

I walked in on the most worse thing in my life. Mom and Dad, having sex. I hope that's not how I was brought into this world. They had me when they were 13, so that makes them 31. All of my friends, before I was emo said my mom was damn hot. And all my previous girlfriend's liked my dad. I have to say, I'm good-looking. But soon as they saw me they let out the, "Mommy and Daddy were just playing." I couldn't believe it.
I laughed. I shook my head and walked in my room. Taking out my yearbook from 5th grade, I saw Bo. I had given her a chance. But she ruined that. When she was in 5th grade, she was more beautiful than ever. I just wanted a chance to talk to her. I don't know why I ignored her the other day. It was just because, I sat by Joan. She's cute, too. But I like Bo better. (If you could, just say this out loud: Bo better.) (It sounds really funny, well atleast to me. Ok, back to the story.)
I hope she opens her eyes. Just to realize Randy doesn't like her.
I just hope....
