The Other Side Part Two

"Why, why me?" I asked myself as I walked down the hall.

By the time I get back, everyone's probably going to be picking at me. I can;t do this anymore. I know, I'm going to get dad to put me in another school.

That'll work.

As I arrived in the office, I saw two other kids sitting there. I decided to sit near them that way I won't feel so left-out.

I went over to them and they looked at me.

I thought they were a boy and a girl, but it was two boys. And I felt uncomfortable to realize that I was sitting near to boys.

Wait these boys were kind of cute.

I didn't get distracted so what I did was go to the other seats.

"Hey, you. Come over here." said the secretary.

I didn't know if she was talking to me, so I pointed to my chest and asked, "Me?"

"Yes you." said the secretary.

I got up and walked to her.

"What are you here for?" she asked.

"The teacher sent me here...because I got in trouble." I couldn't lie. I had to tell the truth. If I didn't, people would think I was a liar.

I saw her long skinny fingers typing.

"Alright, you can go on in." she said.

She acted like this was me meeting the president.

I walked into the principals office. My heart was pounding so hard I thought it was coming out of my chest.

I got a funny feeling in my stomach.

It felt like a bunch of people were fighting each other inside.

The principal came in, he was holding some type of paper that he couldn't take his eyes off of.

He started to type what was on the paper into his computer.

I was beginning to become frustrated and I decided to say something, "Hello Mr.Smith."

He didn't say anything until a few seconds later,

"Hello, Casey." he said as if he was disappointed.

"Hi." I said.

"So, I'm guessing you're here because you got into some trouble." said Mr.Smith.

"Yes Sir." I wanted to be respectful so I wouldn't be judged as the rude little brat.

"What did you do?"

"Well someone passed me a rude note and,"

"Ah." I couldn't believe he interrupted me. How rude.

"And I sort of said some yucky words." I admitted.

"Tell me which letters they began with." demanded Mr.Smith.

"Just the B word." I said.

"OK, well see we don't want to ever hear that in this school. It's something that you don't want anyone to call you, right?"

"No. I wouldn't want anyone to call me the B word." I said.

"So why would you call someone else that?" he asked.

"Well I got mad Mr.Smith." I was started to get all boiled up on the inside.

Uh oh, I was going to say something very disrespectful. I need to stop it I, I, I'm to la---

"Well I'm pretty sure you would feel mad if someone told you they were going to take over your job, have sex with your wife, and hire you assistant to spy on you." I can't believe I just said that.

That's it. My life is over.

"Ms. Martin, that was disrespectful." said Mr.Smith.

Oh damn, he's going to suspend me now. Maybe even expel me.

"I'm going to give you a second chance. I'm only doing this because I expect great things of you Casey. I'm not going to suspend you. I want you to tell me who wrote the note." said Mr.Smith.

I was so happy. He didn't expel me. I'm saved.

I hesitated for a few seconds then I said, "Lana Aboski."

"Well tomorrow you, Lana, and I are going to have a long discussion." said Mr.Smith.

"Thank you." I said quietly.

Mr.Smith was only 25.

And I think he let me off so easy because he's not that old.

I walked back to my class. On the way there I saw Matthew.

"Matthew, I was wondering if you could come over to my house this weekend. You are sooo hot and I know you would just love to have sex with me for hours. I mean get serious, I'm the hottest girl you'll probably ever see. Take me, and no other girl." I couldn't believe myself.

Lana said all that to him just so he could go out with her.

They were talking near the waterfountains and they hadn't seen me.

Matthew looked at Lana for a few seconds, and pushed her against the wall.

He started to kiss her, "No." I said as quietly as I could.

I was hoping they wouldn't hear me, but they did.

And they saw me too.

"You pervert! You freak! How could you watch us?" asked Lana.

I saw that Lana was hurt.

"I wansn't trying to watch. I-I-I was trying to throw my paper away." I lied.

The more I hated Lana, the more I wanted her to like me. It was weird.

"Hey don't talk to her like that." said Blake from no where.

He just popped out. He was my best-friend, and former boy-friend.

"Well she shouldn't have been so perverted and start watching Lana and Matthew." said Jana.

Jana was Lana's best-friend, or what I call her slave.

Then before my eyes, people started popping out.

They started fighting and running around.

I was so scared.

Someone somehow punched me right in the face. And at the same time someone else punched me in the stomach.

That knocked the air and the lights out of me.

I was knocked out for about 5 hours.

When I woke up I was in my bed.

I saw Eric above me.

"Hey little sis, I know about the big fight. I was in it. I was looking for you to make sure no one laid a finger on you, but I guess I'm a little too late." He sort of laughed.

"Yeah." I said sort of laughing.

"Mom and dad had to haul you into the car. It was sad." said Eric.

Kit rushed in.

"Hey. You know you're like the coolest big sister in the world. Everyone knows about the fight. It was on the news at 6:00." said Kit.

I was so tired I couldn't respond.

I moved my lips a little bit, but then I fell back on my bed to go to sleep for 9 more hours.
