Victor was lying awake looking at the alarm clock.  It was 3:53. He had woken up about an hour ago, he didnt know why. When he got up and walked around the house, everyone was asleep. He didnt need to go to the bathroom and he didnt have a nightmare, so why did he wake up? He hated this, it happened all the time in the last two weeks. He would wake up for no aparant reason, then it would take him atleaast two hours to get back to sleep. It was hell to wake up at 7:00 every morning and get ready for school. He would always sleep in and awake to his mother screaming at him around 7:30.  She was one of those paranoid mothers whom always assumed the worst.  She had already asked him twice if he was on drugs, and he had spent fifteen minutes confincing her otherwise. Tomorrow she was going to take him to thier doctor, for a prescription for some sleeping pills. He couldnt wait, he would get to sleep in untill 10, and miss a day of school.

Victor started daydreaming about being a character in the current book he was reading, he always did this.  He always wondered how it would be if the stories were real and he was a part of it. He always imagined himself a year older in the stories, 16. Because sixteen always sounded more right then 15. He jerked in surprise when the phone rang.  He peered at the clock, it was 4:04.

"Who the hell is calling at 4:00 in the morning" Victor whispered.  he threw his sheets off, and rushed down the wooden steps to the kitchen, it was ringing for the 5th time and he didnt want it to wake everyone else up. "hello?" he uttered quietly.

"hello." a womens foice answered

"who is this?" Victor questioned, this time at a normal volume

"Hello Victor, my name is Dee" the woman responded, in an english accent. Victor didnt know any Dee. He tried remembering all of his sisters frineds, and his mothers, and his fathers.  He never heard about a Dee before.  And how did she know this was him. When Victor didnt respond the woman spoke again. "Victor, i need you to put down the phone and go outside" Victor stood still for a second then turned to the kitchen window, that looked upon the back yard.  The curtains were closed.  He turned to the living room, where all the Curtains were shut aswell.  Once again Victor didnt respond. "VICTOR" the woman yelled.  Victor jumbed, his heart started racing. "Victor go outside. now." the woman sounded angry. That was odd, because she seemed pretty nice and calm at first, even though Victor had no idea who this was, or what was going on.

"um, who is this?" Victor questioned a second time.

"My name is Dee, we went over this! Go out side" she said sternly "we dont have much time, and i cant get into your bloody house." Victor was shivering from the cold kitchen. Hhis feet were cold becaue of the tile, and all he had on was shorts and a t-shirt. He didnt move. He just stood there looking at the windows.  Was she out there. He didnt know what to say to her, after what she told him to do. The woman sighed, he could tell she was arritated. "Victor i need you to go outside."

"Why," he finally blurted

"because" the woman insisted. Victor's fright was wearing off, so he could atleast speak now.

"Why would i go outside just because you tell me to...wait a second, is that you Amanda?" Victor asked.

"No-"

"Kiara?"

No dammit, I-"

"I get it, this is Rachel. Put your brother on the phone!" Victor demanded, it had to be Brian confincing his little sister to prank him.

"NO!" the woman shouted "i am not one of your adalesant friends dammit. I dont have time for this, go outside RIGHT NOW!" she screamed the last part.  That scared Victor, and pissed him off. e slamed the phone down without another word. he was breathing hard. And when he calmed himself he turned to go back to his room.  the phone rang again.

"hello?" he answered

"Hello," it was a mans voice. Victor stood there without speaking back.

"hello, Victor?"

"Yes?" Victor asked.

"Listen Victor this is going to sound odd but i need yo uto come outside."

"Who is this, are you palying pranks with that woman who called" Victor demande angerly.

"What woman?" the man asked, his tone of voice changing

"the woman with the stupid english accent, what are you people trying to do, scare me?" Victor was scared, but he wasnt going to tell him.

"Woman with the-oh no, Victor listen to me," the man started speaking very quickly. "Get down on the floor, that womans there to kill you, the charms should protect-" thats all Vitor heard, because just then his 11 year old sister Courtney screamed, then there was a crash up stairs. He dropped the phone. "VICTOR...VICTOR!!"  he head the man scream as he rushe dup the stairs.
