Drama Created on 1-1-08 Views(191) Story Rating G

I’m at home right now waiting for my psychotic father no, not father….Brian. It’s a little after 11. Dequin had given my father money, but not as much as usual, which, surprised me. With no lights on in the house, due to the non-paid bill, the only thing to see by was the dim candles casting creepy shadows along the wall. Since we had got money from my sister, it would soon be paid, and we would have electricity soon. If I’m not dead by then. I tried not to think about the possibility of my father murdering his own daughter, but it’s amazing the extents people will go to in order to keep their “dirty little secrets”. The cold had seeped into my bones a little while ago, so I was bundled up in my school hoodie, some black pajama bottoms, and my fuzzy wool socks. I tell you, I was comfy. The only thing that had been able to stray my mind the least bit from Brian was the sappy romance novel I had read at least 10 times. I used to read a lot, so I have hundreds of books. I haven’t bought I knew one in quite a

while, but that’s because of my situation, as you know.

I was just getting to the good part when I heard the front door creak open, then not long after slam shut. Perfect timing, Brian. My favorite part, and you come NOW.

Such an Ass hole.

“Ayzolenn! You Homee??! I rolled my eyes. Of course I was home, where else would I be?? A party?? HA …Maybe if I ever got invited to one.

“Uhhh…Yea “Dad”. In the living room.”

I sat the book down on the coffee table and snuggled more fully into the crouchet blanket covering me. I could hear his footsteps coming towards the room over the hum of the propane heater, the only heat source at the moment being. He stopped in the doorway, and stared me down. Why he did this, I have no idea. It was starting to get really uncomfortable, you know, his eyes never straying from me.

“What are you looking at?!” I snapped. Well, you didn’t expect me to be nice after seeing him murder someone did you? Nope.

He crossed his arms over his chest. “Don’t get an attitude young lady. I don’t need your bull right now.”

“Well? What are you staring for?” I said. Yeah, I was getting even more testy than I was before. Still staring.

He sighed, uncrossed his arms, and sat down in the old chair directly across from me, and stared at me, analyzing me it looked like, over the table. Analyzing for what? I wondered. Does he know I knoww?

“Ayzolenn, Listen, I know I’m not doing a very good job of taking care of you, just know that I try. I love you, and I will do everything in my power to raise you the right way.” Wow. Where did that come from. HAHA. Some imagination he has thinking he’s trying. The only thing he’s trying to do is hide his unknown addiction. Yea, well, you have something coming, buddy.

I laughed. Then saw the expression on his face. The expression never once directerd towards me. Almost the same look he’d had while slicing a little girl to pieces.

I froze, and my eyes grew wide with fear. Of my life.

Then he narrowed them, and said. “You know.”

“Uhh….. Yea, I know.” I said slowly, looking closely at his face to see his reaction. Hostile? Fear of me turning him in?? Or would he just kill me so I wouldn’t yapp??

He leaned back into the chair, and clasped his hands in front of him.

“I thought that was you, but I wasn’t sure. I tried to follow, but I’m to old to keep up with a sixteen year old” He said laughingly. I cannot believe this guy, I thought astounded at his sense of ease on the subject. I started to cuss the little freako out, but then caught myself, recalling my former plan.’

I smiled. “Do you think…” I shifted uncomfortably, and shifted my eyes downward, pretending to be timid to ask the coming question, “you could take me with you once?”

He stayed silent, and I glanced up at him through my bangs. Seeing as how it was so dark, I couldn’t read the emotions in his eyes, and his face gave no sign I had even recommended the idea.

Then, after forever, he replied. “No. No way.”

I did an imitation of a 5 year old pouting, and whined “Why nott?!!!”

“Ayzalenn, this is not you.” He looked puzzled, not knowing what to think of my response.

That remark, of him saying it wasn’t me, made me even more angry than I was to begin with. How would he know me? I’ve changed since he last knew me. Big time.

I stood up, strolled over to him, and shoved my finger right into his face, all the while yelling, “Don’t you DARE say you know me! I’m not the same little “perfect” girl I used to be. So don’t say what is and isn’t me. I thought I knew you, too. But I didn’t now did I?”

After I had made my little speech, I was a little afraid he might reach out and break my finger, and I’d be forced to kick my dad’s ass, but all he did was stare at me, skepticism clear in his eyes.

“Listen Ayzalenn, you may have acted like you changed. You may have changed your outer shell, but on the inside, you’re the sweet little princess I used to kiss good night every bedtime. Don’t act like your someone your not.”

Last Straw. I slapped him. HARD.

I waited, anticipating the sting of his hand smacking against my cheek, but it never came. Still, he just stared.

“I’m going with you, no matter what you say. And if you don’t let me go, I’ll turn you in. Got it?” Man, I never thought I’d have this much guts, but here I was, screaming at and threatening somebody totally capable of clearing my existence from this sick little world. I didn’t care. What did I have to lose??

“Damn it.” He muttered, looking pained. He stood up. “Tomorrow night, be ready by 11pm.” And he strolled out like he wasn’t a murderer. Yea, right.

THE NEXT DAY……………..

I woke up hearing a rock hit my window. Now, let me tell you, this had NEVER happened to me before. Maybe that’s because I’ve never had a boyfriend, therefore, no rocks hit my window. Ever. I threw the blankets off of myself, exposing my body to the chilled air of the un heated house. Before I walked to the window, I checked the time, and saw it was 1:30. Damn, I thought. I never sleep that late. I groggily stumbled over to the window, parted the blinds, and squinted out into my yard.

There was a stranger out in my yard, looking up into my window. And this wasn’t just any stranger. No way. He was hot. Now, I don’t think many people are hot. Yea. Maybe I think some people are good-looking, and sometimes even cute. But barely ever do I find someone that measure up to my standards as hott.

His hair was blonde. Very, very light blonde. With a little tint of gold with the sun shining on it. He had on jeans, and a blue polo. He dressed kind of preppy, except for the converses covering his feet. I couldn’t see his eye color, but I could see that his eyebrow was pierced. I looked at myself with my hair in a loose bun, my black pajama bottoms, and red school hoodie. I am definitely NOT going down there. If I did, I would probably scare him off.

I opened the window, and stuck my head out as far as I dared.

“Uh….excuse me, I don’t like it much when strangers throw rocks at my window while I’m trying to get my beauty sleep.” I yelled. He may be a hottay, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be peeved at him for waking me.

He smiled, and even two story’s up, I could see his teeth were white and straight.

“Stranger. Huh??? Guess you don’t recognize me??!!!”

His voice. WOW. “Well, I can’t exactly see you well from up here.” I said.

“Maybe you should come down here” He said back up.

Once again I looked at myself, and did not like what I saw.

“Uhh…Hold on, I’ll be right down.” I shut the window without waiting for a reply. I might not look my best, but I just threw a little eyeliner on my bright green eyes, brushed my teeth, refixed my bun, and I was headed down toward Mystery Boy. Brian, as usual, was gone.

I was still in my fuzzy socks, so when I stepped outside, they got soaked. It must have rained sometime last night, I thought. Well, I hadn’t noticed. I walked around the side of the house where I had last seen HIM. He was leaning up against the white tile of the house, his face towards the sun. I stopped and stared at him, wondering how someone could be so beautiful and hott in one. He was…….Perfect.

He turned his head sharply and caught me staring. My cheeks reddened and he smiled and arrogant but gorgeous smile. I smiled back, and he started striding toward me. As he got closer, I could see that his eyes were and amazing shade of yellow, but a bit orangeish. I had only ever seen eyes like this once before.

When I was little, I used to have a lot of friends in my neighborhood. We used to run around until sunset, and then come home, our feed muddy messes, and out of breath from running home before we broke our curfew. From when I was in kindergarten until I was 12 years I would go out every summer, with about 4 of my neighbor friends. One of those friends was a boy named Ornall. We always used to call him Nally for short. He was always a chubby kid, never really good looking, but he was one of my best friends for years. Until he got to old to hang out with a little kid like me, of course. But then when I was 13, he moved to some place not known to me.

He was the only human being I’d ever known to have eyes like this hottie standing before me. No way!! I screamed to myself In my head. This CANNOT be him. I guess I had been taking to long looking back on my memories because all of a sudden he was saying my name, kind of worriedly. He was now right in front of my. I had to look up to see his face, though. He was about a head taller than me. I noticed that his hair looked really, really soft. It was long, too, covering his ears.

Still not sure if it was Nell, I said. “Uhh..Do I know you?”

He was about a foot away from me, so when he laughed, again, at me, I could smell the tooth paste he’d used this morning.

“You don’t recognize me???” He sounded pleased.. Why would he sound pleased that I didn’t know who the hell he was?!

I smiled big. “Nope, sure don’t!” I said cheerily.

“But I THINK I might have some idea..” I added.

He quirked an eybrow, which almost made my knees go weak. DAMN, He had to be a model or something. No way could his looks go to waste.

“And what idea is that??! “ He asked. He had a certain arrogance about him that made him even more appealing. My gawd, if only Harlem was still here. She would be ALL over him.

I looked him up and down uncertainly, and , also, noted how his biceps bulged, and when the wind whipped his shirt, you couldn’t miss the ripples in his stomach.

When my eyes came back to his, I saw he knew I was checking him out, and my face once again turned red. He smirked sideways, and looked me over the same way I had him. I shifted and looked away, turning an even darker shade of red.

“No way.” I said, twiddling my fingers and looking back at him. “No. It is NOT you.”

By the gleaming sparkle in his eyes, I could totally tell that, yes, indeed, it was Nell.

I smiled Huge, and ran to hug him. My old besty!!! Man, I never thought he’d come back. He hugged me just as hard as I did him. We stayed like that until I couldn’t stand the freezing wind any longer.

“Listen, it’s really cold, and I feel like an icicle. Do you want to come inside?”

He still had me by the shoulders and was smiling at me.

He dropped his hands. “Yea, sure.”

I tip toed my way around the wettest and muddiest parts of the ground, and soon made it to the front door. I opened it for Nell to enter, and shut it behind him.

As I walked into the kitchen, I tried to turn on the light, and when it wouldn’t, I remember about the electricity. Damn it! I thought. There is this totally hott dude in my house, and I just woke up, and theres no electricity. Nice Impression Ayz.
