“Your What?!!!!!!

My eyes wide with shock, I stood there barely able to keep balanced. I mean, I have nothing against gay people, it’s just this was so unexpected.

He looked down at the floor, kind of like he was ashamed. “I’m gay.” He said quietly.

Then a twinge of pity took over my mind, I could tell by his reaction to telling me, people didn’t usually take the news very well.

“Oh, Well then why did you pretend to be interested in me then?” I asked, my shock subsiding, turning into sympathy.

“I didn’t want to admit it to myself. Nobody accepts me the way I am.” His green gaze met mine as he said that,

The look of deception in his eyes was almost unbearable.

“I accept you?? Who wouldn’t ?”

“My parents, my sister, all my friends. That’s why I moved to a new school. I couldn’t get away from the torture people brought upon me because I was different.” I saw a single tear slide down his face, and my eyes started watering also.

“Garen, No matter who accepts you or not, your still yourself.” I said while grabbing his shoulders to make him face me. ”Just give them time. Maybe that’s all they need. Soon enough, you’ll be accepted for you, and not your sexuality. I accept you.” I said with a watery, but sincere smile. “Even if they don’t, I’ll always be here, if you need me.”

He stared into the depths of my eyes with admiration, shock and hope mixed.

Then he kissed me. I kissed him back, but it was weird knowing he was gay. When he finally pulled away, I was speechless.

He grinned “Sorry, just had to make sure I was gay.”

“And?…..”

“Yupp, I’m gay. Not that you’re a bad kisser or anything.”

We were both laughing and he hugged me as my sister pranced in her room.

“What are you doing in hear?” She said with a flick of her blonde hair.

“I was just showing Garen your room.” I mumbled as I shot her a warning look, not to hit on him.

“Well, he can stay if he wants.” She grinned devilishly and popped out a bony hip, eyeing Garen up and down once more.

“No thanks” I grabbed Garens hand and high tailed it out of there.

As we were on the way back to my room, his cell phone started wringing an annoying high pitched squeal.

“What the heck?!”

It’s my mom.” He replied rolling his eyes. ”I made that ringer to be hers so I know to beware and that it‘s her.”

“HAHA! Good idea.”

“Hello?” He said wearily into the phone.

On the other end I heard a very obnoxious voice screaming into the phone.

A look of fear flashed across Garen’s face. “Mom, No, you can’t do that! Where am I gonna go?!!”

Another loud chatter from Garen’s mom on the other end of the phone. Then he hung up, looking like he’d just been kicked in the gut. I got to him right before he collapsed on ym bed.

“Garen?!” I said alarmed “What’s wrong?”

He looked at me, but seemed he didn’t really see me.

“They are taking away everything. My car, my home, everything. They told my grandma about me being gay, and she refuses to live with a “homo” , so they chose her over me, and are taking away my life.” He finally seemed to actually see me. “Where am I gonna go Kennedy. What am I gonna do?”
