Chapter 1
I’m Abby. Since I was 13 all I wanted was to be invisible. I avoided talking. When a teacher would ask me questions I would answer or just say I don’t know. I avoided making friends. I even avoided talking to my parents. When school was over I just walked home and went to my room and listened to music. Music is my life. I won’t even say how many times I got busted trying to listen to music in school. I don’t see their problem anyways. I’m a straight A student. I got all my homework done. But while listening to my music I would just lie there focusing on the beat and rhythm. I loved music but one day it was taken away from me. My parents took my I-pod my guitar even all my CD’s and my stereo system. They told me I wouldn’t get any of it back unless I started talking to people and them. I told them the only thing I wanted was my music and to be invisible. They told me I had problems and nobody really wants to be alone in life. I didn’t know what to do. I went on with my usual routine only without music. My grades went down from A’s to D’s. Then I made one friend and her name was Jalie. We started to hang out a lot and then I seen her scars.
“What’d you do?” I asked
