"I'm not done yet, though," Hayley sighed, "My family moved me into a different school, hoping that maybe that would help. I became friends with a girl called Angel. She was no angel, though. Apparently, she was friends with Randy's cousin. He told her what had supposedly happened, and Angel liked Randy. He promised to date her if she made things bad for me there, too. So Angel started saying I was gay and tried coming on to her. People believed her, too! I hated her. Again, life was horrible. We moved, this time to here. Things are better for me, but Blake, now that I see how much worse you have it, I don't feel as bad for myself. But I do understand."

"I'm sorry I asked you to tell me all that. But if your trust had been broken many times before, why did you trust me with all that?"

"Because you know what its like to hurt and wouldn't do that to me."

"True. I have an idea...my dad went out to buy more beer, which means he'll be passed out for a long time, I think. I could sneak in and steal some money and get my clothes and leave. Do you think your parents would let me stay here? They seemed really nice."

"Well, I can ask, and since they know what its like to have a crappy life, they might even say yes, but don't count on it. Money is sorta tight lately."

"Alright. Let's go ask and see what they say."
