Jason sat in his apartment, alone. He felt cold and dead inside. Monica's sweet voice no longer rang through the house. The house was dark and melancholy. Lights only cast a greater shadow, and it made them seem more ominous. Jason looked at his wrists. The scars he had from so many years ago were still there. And from so many years ago, they still hurt. His heart felt like it was being torn apart. He walked over to his stereo, picked up a copy of his latest CD: "Within This Dying World". He took it and walked into his bathroom. He walked inside and took his clothes off. He put the CD in the stereo in his bathroom. He filled the tub, and sat inside. The CD player was put on repeat of the ballad of the CD; the song he had written for Monica. 

The next morning, Scott came over to Jason's house. He knocked on the door. It was unlocked and it swung wide open, "Jason?" he called out, "You here?" He walked through the apartment. He saw that the bathroom door was slightly open. He walked over, pushed it open and gasped. Jason sat in the tub, in a pool of his own blood. He looked over at the CD player, it was playing the song Jason had written for Monica. Beside Jason's body was a note. Scott walked over. He noticed Jason had a long scar across his neck, and the bloody razor was in his hand which hung outside the tub. He opened the note and read:

"Dear whoever found this note,

I see no point in living anymore. The love of my life and my unborn child have both been taken from me. I am off to join them in the kingdom of Heaven. My wife, Monica, was killed yesterday at the docks. It should be around the news later. The profits from my band's last CD goes to all my band members, they can divide it amongst themselves. All the belongings in my house I would like sent to charity. Any money I have in my bank account shall be donated to charity as well. With good regards, see you on the other side.

Tears trickled down Scott's eyes. "Scott? Jason? Monica? Anybody in here?" Jennie's voice came out. She walked into the bathroom and yelped. Scott didn't take his eyes off his dead friend. He handed the note to Jennie and walked over to Jason. He knelt beside Jason, "I'll miss you, buddy," Scott whispered. With a sad sigh, Scott got up, called for an ambulance, and put his arm around Jennie. Jennie shook and wept uncontrollably. Scott comforted her, "Shhhh, it's all right," he whispered, "They're in a better place now."
