Jennie just looked at Scott; her face was blank, and her mouth was hanging wide open, trying to get the words out. Scott's face was begging for her, as though the very depths of his soul carved his face into what it is now. Jennie closed her eyes and slightly shook her head, and pulled her hand away, "No," she said at last, backing away a few steps. "No, I can't," she whispered, "I don't want to go back there again. I don't want to wake every morning with beer bottles all around me and explain a black eye every week. No, Scott, I can't go there again." Jennie hugged herself, and tears crawled out her eyes, "No," she mouthed, unable to talk anymore. Scott looked like he was just stabbed. He crawled over to her, "Jennie, I love you," he whispered, "Please, give me one more chance." Jennie shook her head, "How can I believe you?" she whispered. Scott took a deep breath in and began to sing, "Please just don't play with me," he sung softly, "My paper heart will bleed." Jennie looked at him in amazement. "This wait for destiny won't do," she sung softly, continuing the song. "Be with me please, I beseech you," Scott finished. Jennie smiled weakly, "You haven't sung to me in so long," she whispered. "Because booze made me forget I loved you," he whispered back. He opened his arms, "Please?" he begged. Jennie smiled weakly and nodded, "I love you," Scott whispered, hugging her. "I love you too," she whispered back. Jason and Monica looked at them and smiled, "Scott," Jason called out, "Good to have you back. Practice tomorrow at 1. Don't be late." Scott smiled and nodded, "You got it, man," he said. "Would you like to come in? We were just about to have dinner," Monica offered. Scott smiled, nodded, and everyone walked in.

The next day, Scott arrived on time. Instantly, the whole band knew he was back to normal. Everyone had a fun time, rocking out, chatting, joking, improvising. Jason smiled; it was just like old times. Suddenly, Jordan called everyone over to the TV. "Hey guys, check this out," he said. On the news, it showed Tony Deschavo. Tony used to harass Jason all the time during high school, as well as everyone else. Tony had flunked high school, and went on to join gangs. He had become a big crime lord a few months ago, but was arrested. Apparently, Tony had been sprung from jail from his friends. Every single guard in the building was horrifically mutilated, and the building was in ruins. Several apartments in the vicinity were also found filled with dead, that Tony's men had killed to keep them quiet. "It probably won't be a good idea to perform in back alley clubs anymore," Charles said, "Especially considering how Tony tried to kill Jason several times before during gigs." Jason gulped, he remembered when he looked into the crowd and saw Tony pull out a gun. If he hadn't ducked in time, he would be dead. "Let's just practice," Jason said at last, his face pale, "The cops will find him."
