Logan dropped Sophie back home and gave her a quick kiss before letting her exit the car. Sophie walked up the driveway, tired and exhausted. She spotted her parent’s car still in the parkway.
She hung up her coat in the closet and entered the kitchen, to let her parents know she was home. She avoided looking at their faces but nothing hid her tear stained face and wrinkled clothes.
“I’ll be in my room,” She mumbled. While she was going up the stairs, she saw her mother exchange a worried look with her father.
Sophie turned up her music as Chiodos started blaring out of her computer speakers. She sat on her bed and proceeded changing into her pajamas. After doing so, she hit the pause button on her iTunes and got ready to sleep.
As soon as her head hit the pillow, she heard a knock on her door.
“Come in,” She said loudly. She quickly sat up when her mother walked into the room.
“Honey…”
“Yes?”
“I have to talk to you about something,”
“What is it, Mom?” Sophie said, trying to put on a smile.
Sophie folded her legs to make room. Her mother sat on her bed, struggling for the right words to say.
“Honey… your father and I have been worried about you… you keep mumbling his name at night and crying. You just need to get away from this place.”
Sophie stared at her mother. “What do you mean?”
“Honey, your father and I …”
“Yeah?” Sophie said, beginning to get impatient.
Sophie’s mom looked up to gaze into her aqua eyes.
She said, frustrated, “We’re moving.”
