Ryan quickly grabbed a chair and sat down. I didn't call Anna 'babe'
...did I?, he thought. "Yo Ryannn." He heard Travis call as he walked
through the front door. Oh my god, Travis is going to be so pissed
when he learns I called the girl he's crushing on a babe, Ryan thought
worriedly. Travis came over and playfully punched Ryan on the shoulder.
'Sup buddie?' Travis questioned. "Nothing." Ryan said quietly, "I just
don't feel so good." "I don't either, I still have the butterflies after seeing Anna yesterday." Travis laughed. Ryan's stomach lurched at the
thought of her name. Oh boy... I am falling for her, Ryan thought.
Shawn walked through the front door 10 minutes later. "Hey guys." He
said, smirking. Ryan and Travis stared at him. "What are you hiding?"
Ryan said uneasily. "Oh nothing...except the fact that I went behind
your backs and scheduled tonight with Anna, Nicole, and Jen." Shawn
innocently, said. "You what?!?" Travis yelped. Ryan just stared down.
Jen... ugh, I like her so much.... but then Anna. How could he fall for two females, in which one, his best friend had a crush on?!
--1 hour before the date--
Ryan stood at his window, gazing out into the sky which was surprisingly filled with stars that night. Shawn came over and said, "Hey..you haven't been acting yourself the entire night, what's wrong?" "Um..I don't think I can make it tonight." Ryan said. "What?! Why not?? Jen's going to be so sad !" Shawn said, half yelling, "It'll be fun,I promise." "It's going to be ONLY fun..more like awkward." Ryan said softly under his breath. Shawn didn't hear him and forced him to get dressed.
--10 minutes before picking the girls up--
"I don't feel good, guys, can you drop me off here, I can hitchhike some ride." Ryan said uneasily. Travis and Shawn laughed. Travis said "No, buddy, I don't think so, you're coming, whether you like it or not." Ryan slouched in his seat and glanced at Travis. How can I hurt him?, he asked himself, I need to stay away from Anna. Travis turned into Anna's driveway and honked to let them know they were there.
"Anna, hurry up in there, the boys are here!" Jen yelled to Anna, who had spent at least an hour getting ready for Travis.... and Ryan. How am I supposed to tell Jen?, she thought, She'll never speak to me again. Anna open the door, and took a deep breath, I'll just stay away from Ryan. They locked the doors, and made their way down to Shawn's car."Wow..." Travis said, mesmerized by Anna's beauty. Anna's red hair shone brighter than any star out that night. Ryan stared in awe at Jen... but his eyes were hooked on Anna.
