"Run," I shouted as the blood red eyes got closer and closer.
"No" said Region, "This is where we stand, I shall run no longer!"
Just then the beast finally emerged itself into clear sight. It was a tall and slender creature, it had dark brown fur covering its body, razor sharp teeth, and hinged legs like a dog.
I immediatly drew my bow and an arrow and shouted, "draw your weapon and ready yourself for the abyss." Just then what seemed like it fell from the sky, came a dark shadow.
Almost as soon as it landed it was gone and so was the beast. The only evidence of it being there was a hiss echoing through my ear.
As I looked at the rest of my party, Isendria was staring at the very spot the beast was in. Region was the first to break the silence. "What was that thing?" asked Region.
"I have no idea," I replied.
Isendria soon asked, "dont you believe we should get moving to the next town?"
"Yes I suppose so," I answered
A few hours later we arrived in Caspiendor, a small elven port town. There we were able to find food, supplies, and lodging.
The next morning we awoke to a surprise. I could hear many of screams, I lunged forward and drew my dagger. As I started to look around, Region asked, "What in god's name is going on here?" I replied, "If I knew i would tell you."
I looked to Isendria's cott, she was no where to be found.
I jumped forward and looked out the window to find that she was being dragged away by the beast we encountered last night.
I kicked through the glass on the window with my bow ready I took aim and fired. The beast looked back only to find an arrow narrowly slicing his face.
As blood began to fall to the ground he howled, so sadly it made angels weep. Before I could draw another arrow the beast was gone and so was Isendria.
I grabbed my bag and began to walk toward the door. I was in such a flurry I forgot about Region. He began to utter, "wha.." and that was all he could say before I had my dagger on his throat. I withdrew as soon as I relized who it was. "As I was saying, what are you doing?"
I said, "I am going hunting."
The path the tracks made was long and filled with obsitcles. There was every terrian from a swamp-like land to a desert.
When I finally arrived to a cave, I stood for a second and listened. I heared the rustle of leaves behind me, I quickly darted into a bush. As I watched with my weapon ready I saw, Region.
I quickly grabbed and yanked him into the bushes and whispered, "what are you doing here?"
"Come on were a team, nothing will change that," replied Region. "Alright, but be careful," I told him, "dont worry about me, I'll be fine," he said.
As we continued into the cave the stench of blood and K-9 fur grew stronger and stronger.
I heard a low and deep moan, I made a sharp stop, peered around the corner, and with the quickness of a vipers stike I slit the throat of the beast.
As the blood began to spill from the monster, so did its beast like qualities, until he looked just like an average man. "May god rest his soul," said Region.
We continued deeper and deeper into the labyrinth of the beast. I suddenly stopped remembering.
I spoke, "there is more than one beast." Region said, "what are you talking about?"
"The monster whom took Isendria isnt the one who was just vanquished," I said. "The one who took Isendria I cliped him with an arrow in the face."
Continuing we came to a small passage. At the end of the passage I could see a light.
Throught the passage there was a room filled with bloody meat and riches, in the room there were five more passages.
"We could take it, we could take it all," said Region.
"No," I replied, "we must continue." He did not listen when I grabbed his arm he shoved me aside knocking over and breaking many objects.
We stood in silence, being the first to speak I said, "you fool..." Just then we heard echos from the passages. The movment of feet and moaning.
"Come on," I yelled as I jumped into the passage way.
"No!" he screamed, "I must stay, go! Go before it is to late!"
I hurried down the passage to find Isendria tied to a pole with many dead corpses of men and women alike. I quickly untied her as she shouted, "behind you!"
I caught out of the corner of my eye a figure rushing toward me. I went to draw my dagger, but I was not quick enough. I was pinned to the ground. When Isendria kicked the scared beast in its head.
It began to yelp and whine as its wound reopened and blood fell. I took the chance to grab my dagger, the beast lunged at me knocking me over. I tried to get back up, but the beast jumped on me.
Holding back the beast so it could not bite me I used all my might to thrust the beast against the wall breaking and cracking the rock.
I had just enough time to get up before the beast lunged again. This time you could wittness blood seeping down.
Then a loud yelp the scared beast fell. Bleeding, sensing its end it make one last effort to bite me. That I knew I couldnt dodge. Then blood splattered all over the walls and Isendria began to scream.
"No!" I yelled as Region fell before me he was bitten in the throat. Bleeding to death his last words were, "I lo.. love you m... m.. my broth... er."
"He was gone and this is why I reveal this story for all to know, for all to know the story of the great hero, Region."
