Thirteen and Pregnant [Chapter 8]

Drama Created on 9-21-08 Views(136) Story Rating PG13

My mother and I had been discussing baby names. Nothing seemed right. Shane, of course, helped.

"Sarah" my mother said.

"No. Sounds too formal and average." I said.

"Zoe?" Shane said confused.

"No, once agian, sounds formal." I said.

"What! We've been through the whole alphabet." He said.

"Well, I guess we need a baby name's book." My mom said.

"Okay. Time to go to the baby market." I said as I got up from my recliner.

"You dont get a baby name's book from a baby market, Deidra Lyn." Mother said laughing.

I went into my room after Shane left. I sat in the window seat looking out my window. Can you even guess who I saw? The same girl. She was twirling around a stick. Like a flag girl.

Just so you know, she wasnt in my yard twirling, I live across the street from a park. What? you think a creepy chicka like her actually has the nerve to come and twirl a stick in my front yard in the middle of suburbia? Not in this part of the country.

She stopped twirling the stick. The girl must have been 25 or so. I dont know. All I know is that if she is one of Shane's exes, I was going to freak.

I pulled my jacket on and ran down stairs. I went outside, and across the street. She was now smoking a cigarette. I sat down on the swings. She saw me swinging lightly. She had a "Oh my gosh!" face on.

She sat in the swing beside me.

"Is your name Deidra Smith?" She said.

Doublecheck I like your writing style even though the story moves too fast. Your witty and you sound different than many other writers. Street smart you could say lol.
