The sunrise was beautiful. Also, the fact that Landon didn’t be a jerk the rest of the time helped. The sun was a yellow orange that made the sky blue, yellow, orange and a pinkish-purple. It was amazing.

“It was pretty cool, huh?” Landon asked.

“It was beautiful.” I corrected him.

“Okay then, beautiful. It’s time for you to go home. Isn’t your sister worried?”

“Ha! No, she isn’t. Megan’s probably still drunk by now.”

“Oh.” He said shocked.

“I thought you knew me so well?” I said sarcastically.

“Yeah, shut up.” He said jokingly.

“Laugh out loud!”

“You are retarded.”

“No, I just like to have fun. Don’t take life too seriously, no one gets out alive.”

“Ha ha. That’s good, I’ll give you that.”

“I know.” I said. “I think I’ll go home now. Nice to meet you, Landon.”

“Do you want me to walk with you?”

“If you want too. I don’t care.”

“I’ll make sure you get home safe.”

“Because getting raped here happens so often.”

“Fine the, I won’t.”

“Aw. I was just kidding. It’d be nice to have someone to walk home with.”

“Alright, alright. I’ll come with.”

“Thank you!”

Landon walked me home. It was a lot of fun. We talked and played the whole way. On his ipod, we listened to my favorite song Wonderwall by Oasis. It turned out to be his favorite song too.

“ Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you by now you should've somehow realized what you gotta do I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now backbeat the word was on the street that the fire in your heart is out I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now” We sang it.

“Wow. I didn’t think you’d like a song like that.”

“Why?”

“You seemed to be a Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan type of person. You know? Bubbly music… Jessica Simpson?”

“No. I listen to mostly everything. Except oldies and opera music.”

“Cool. Even country?”

“Yep.”

“Nice.”

“Well, here we are.”

“Oh. Nice meeting you. Maybe we can do that again sometime?”

“Yeah. Sounds great.” I flashed a smile.

I walked in and watched him leave. Megan was still on the couch.

“Meg, Megan!” I said.

“Hay-” She mumbled. I couldn’t tell if she was saying ‘Hey’ or trying to say my name.

“Come on girl, get up.” I dragged her into her room and put her on the bed. I went back in my room and decided to go to sleep. It never came. I laid in bed, still, for the next hour. I gave up after that. I went in the kitchen and had an energy drink for breakfast. I realized I hadn’t worked out in a while. I went back in my room, turned up the radio, and changed into a tank top and shorts. I did fifty crunches. It wasn’t much, but my back hurt badly from laying on the rock for so long.

“Hayden, did you put me to bed last night?”

“No, the tooth fairy did.”

“Okay, tell her thanks.”

After an hour or so, sleep finally came.
