Chapter Seventeen

Jalena’s POV

     Kamran came in and we talked a little before for some reason my heart beat had to start increasing rapidly. No one knows why my heartbeat increased. It was fine, going a little weak but still beating, then it just increased. They gave me something and it calmed my heart down. But for some reason when they did another test, it showed I was completely fine. It’s a complete mystery to how this happened. I wasn’t suppose to live. Some miracle happened though and allowed me to live. Kamran and my mom came in. They both looked like they were about to burst with joy. Kamran came over but then stopped suddenly and said, "Mrs.Henderson you go ahead first. I got her last time. You can have her first." "No, It’s ok Kamran, you go ahead." "No, I insist that you go first. I’ll just wait outside in the waiting room."   

    Then he walked out not giving us a choice but to talk. After a while my mom said, "Well, im going to go tell Kamran he can come in here now. I want him to have some more time with you before visiting hours are over. They said you have to stay for two more days." When Kamran came in, we talked just like we did when we were just friends. About everything and everyone. We never said anything negative about people though...it was just kinda Kamran who put down Alan. They never liked each other since that fight as I said before. Then a nurse came in and said, "Mr.Ashcroft you’ll have to leave. Visiting hours are over." "Ok, ill be out in just a moment." Then the nurse left, and Kamran gave me a hug and kiss and said, "I hope you feel better, I love you, I’ll see you tomorrow." "I love you too." I said. I was lost in thought, im sure Kamran realized that this is the reason that I didn’t say much. I smiled and he smiled back and then left.

As soon as I woke up and ate something a police officer came in. "Hello Jalena. I’m Officer Reba, I need to ask you a few questions about these ‘incidents’." I just nod and say, "What would you like to know?" "Well first of all," Reba says while flipping out a little notebook and a pencil, "How did Kamran’s father die?" I took a deep breath and told her everything even though she had only asked how Kam’s father died. She just nods and then just walks out the door. Dr.Ashely comes in and says, "Jalena you need to go to sleep now, you need your rest, if you have any problems just tell a nurse and they will come help you." Then I try to fall asleep but the past few days have just been horrible, and they keep playing in my head. Alan holding up a gun and shooting kamran’s father, Kamran getting hurt by Alan. How Kamran looked when I found him. Getting shot more then once. Wow talk about action packed.
