Chapter Five
Jalena’s POV
I was looking up during the movie at Kam. I couldn’t focus on the movie. I was studying Kam’s face as I have done a thousand times before. I loved the way his face was so gentle, yet strong at the same time. Then he looked down at me. I wanted to kiss him so much, but instead I looked away. I would never have the guts for that. I wonder if Kam and I were going out now... Oh well I ask him at the end of the movie.
I strained to keep my eyes open however it didn’t work I fell asleep anyway. I woke up and looked at my clock. 1:36am. I got up quietly and went to the guest room where I’m guessing Kam was sleeping. I gently opened the door. I walked and tip-toed over to the bed. I watched Kam sleep. His face seemed so peaceful. I bent down and gently kissed his cheek. Then I gently kissed his lips. His lips were the softest lips I had ever kissed. I was a little surprised however when he kissed me back. When I pulled back I saw him looking up at me. He smiled and sat up. "Well good morning Jal." I smiled and replied, "Morning Kam-Kam." I wanted to ask him if we were a couple now. "Kam can I ask you something." "Sure anything." "Are...are we a..couple now? I mean we did admit we love each other and all, so are we a couple?"
"Well that all depends on if you want to be a couple, I’ve been ready for a long time." "How long exactly?" "Six years." "Ever since 4th grade?" "Yea." Maybe that’s what the fight between him and Alan was about. Me. "What were you and Alan fighting about in 4th grade?" Kam sighed and stretched. "That fight was about you..." "He said that you liked him better and I got mad at him, because I knew that wasn’t true...He also called you some pretty nasty things..." "Oh." oh was all I could say before Kam pulled me towards him and started kissing me.Pretty soon we were making out when my mom walked in. We both looked over and she was just standing there wondering what to do. I wonder what she was thinking seeing Kam and I making out... "Hi mom." "Hi Jalena, Kamran." "Hello Ms.Henderson." " What are ya kids up to?" Great. What am I going to tell her now. Yea me and Kam were just making out. "We are a couple now Ms.Henderson." Kam replies confidently while having me still on top of him. We hadn’t moved a muscle since my mom entered the room. She smiled at that thought, she always knew Kam and I would end up. "Well that’s nice, I just came in to get a towel." She walked over and grabbed a towel and walked out. Before she left she looked back at us and smiled. I got off of Kam, closed the door and locked it. "Well that was a little awkward." I say a little freaked out. "Yea, but at least she took the news well."
"She always knew that we would end up." "I bet a lot of people did. I mean that’s what usually happens when a girl and a guy are best friends." "Yea, so I guess we figured out what we are." I said walking over to him. He stood up and started walked towards me. When we reached each other I put my arms around his neck and he put his arms around my waist. "And what would that be?"
I smile kiss him and just walk over to the balcony that’s in the guest room. Kam follows me and we just look at the ocean for a while. "Kam how do you think the schools going to act, how are our friends going to act?" "Well however they act we still have each other." Kam replies while turning me around and kissing me, with such passion I thought I would pass out. When we pull out of the kiss Kam said, "well Jal we got school today." "Yea but it doesn’t start until noon." I reply.
When its noon we climb into Kam’s car. We arrive at Palm Bay High School. "Ok, Jal are you ready?" "I think so." I reply nervously. "Don’t worry Jal, everything’s going to be ok, im sure everyone’s going to be happy that we are together." I smile, Im not worried about everyone else. Just then the person I don’t want to see comes up. "Hi Jalena." "Hi."
