“Kaylee?” Noah said for the 3rd time that morning
“Ughhh… I don’t want to get up yet Noah” She moaned and covered herself with the lime green and purple comforter on her bed
“You have to, It is a 6 ½ hour drive to Asheville, not including pit stops.” Kaylee looked at the clock and groaned
“But it is 2:30!” She finally untangled herself from the mess you would call a bed and put her hair up in a messy bun. She ws wearing a pair of grey mini shorts and a lime green tank top. Noah was already dressed in a pair of jeans with a black shirt and a Hinder sweatshirt covering his body. Then as usual a pair of Chuck Taylors.
Noah had been staying over at Kaylee’s house for two reasons. One he didn’t want to leave Kaylee and two he lived in an apartment that him and Ethan had shared for quite a while. A lot of Ethan’s stuff was there and he had tried to come back to his home, but he couldn’t stop crying.
“You can sleep on the way there” He told her with a grin
“Oh, I was planning on it” He smiled once again as she got a pair of white courdaroy pants and a black and hot pink tank top. She kept her hair in the same messy bun and put on her Northface jacket. Filling her bookbag with a few books her ipod and a journal, she put her make up on and packed up 2 Cds then they left.
“Why don’t’ you go back to sleep”
“I want to but then you’ll be here driving all alone with no one to talk to. Won’t you get lonely” He stared at her then said.
“Go to sleep, We should be there around 8:30 9:00” Kaylee nodded and layed her head bac in his car. She got a pillow from the back and put it behind her head.
“Sleep well” Noah smiled. Once she had fallen fully asleep he whispered 3 little words that he would never have the courage to do. I. Love. You
“Kaylee” Noah woke her up and it was about 7 o’clock and Noah had to stop and fill up his tank of gas
“Mmmmm. Yeah” She asked in a yawn
“You want anything? I have to fill up”
“Yeah, I gotta pee so I’ll get a drink in there. Need anything?”
“Um.. Sure, get me a red bull” She nodded and then walked out of the volvo and walked in the small store. She made her way to the back of the store to the bathroom. She got some quarters and bought a tampon. She knew that she would be starting pretty soon so she put it in and then washed her hands. She came out of the bathroom and picked out a redbull. A vault, a french vanilla and several honey buns. Then she picked up two packs of donut holes
“You and your boyfrined goin’ somewhere?” The young teenager behind the counter. She had dyed black hair with pink and purple highlights in it. Black eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow and a nosering. She had earrings going all the way up her ear and then a brow ring.
“Oh we aren’t dating. My boyfriend just died, we are going to get his stuff. That’s my best friend. They were cousins”
“Aww. I am so sorry for your loss”
“Thanks, I’ve heard that a lot lately”
“Yeah I bet you have, You know, your “friend” is really cute. Is he wearing a Hinder sweatshirt?”
“Yeah he is, but I don’t see him like that. “
“Ha, I’ll take him”
Kaylee laughed heartily and then payed 16.21 for the stuff. She then left
“I GOT THE STUFF WHOA!” She yelled across the parking lot. Then she tripped over a wire in the parking lot.
“You okay?”
“Yeah, Damn clumsiness” She mumbled under her breath. Noah laughed as she got in the car and theuy drove to the university and asked for his room. They both walked to Room 401 in the Coed dorm.
“Aren’t some of the rooms up here coed?”
“Yeah, if you ask for them. I think that this is the mens floor though” They opened the door to the fourth floor and the first thing that Kaylee saw was a very muscular black man, completely naked.
“Wow, I’d sure tap that tight little ass” The guy said to his buddies as Noah and Kaylee were walking away. Then Kaylee turned around
“Excuse me? Did I just hear that you would like to um.. whats the word. Tap me?” Kaylee said in outrage
The guys friends started laughing
“Yeah, you are like smokin’ babe. Why don’t you come and give Ol’ Damien some of your steamy pus” He laughed. Kaylee pulled away from Noah. He tried to grab her back but she turned and mouthed “I’ve got this”. Kaylee walked over the man and teased him.
“Do you really want me?” Kaylee said
“Hell yeah” Kaylee bended in and teased his lips. Then she kicked him in the balls and punched him in the nose.
“Next time, go with someone who isn’t still in High school” Kaylee walked away and Noah grabbed her.
“Kaylee! You could have gotten killed!!” He yelled in a whisper. They walked down the length of the hallway and knocked on room 401. When the door opened a young girl, maybe 20 or younger was there. She was obviously a few months pregnant and was crying.
“Hi, you must be here to get Ethan’s stuff” The girl’s black eyeliner was rushing down her face as black water. “Yeah” Noah said for her “Well please come in” Her strong Brittish accent was shining through “I’m Allison” “Nice to meet you” “Me and Ethan were expecting, I’m sorry for your loss. This must be hard on all of your family” “You and ETHAN were expecting?” Kaylee asked in tears “Yea, sweety its okay. Your brother is in a better place now” By now Kaylee was bawling “He wasn’t my brother. Ethan was my boyfriend”Comments
