Web of Lies

"I hate you! Fuck off, I never want to speak to you again!"

Those are the words Hannah wanted to scream, but what would be the point? They never worked in her favour before. Besides, it wasn't her thing to say.

"Why did you do it?" She said, barely able to hold back her tears. She dried them with the back of her sleeve before repeating herself, "Why did you do it?"

"Do what?" Was the reply.

'Do what?' They repeated in Hannah's head, 'Do what?' "Do what?" She paused, trying to collect her scattering thoughts, "You backstabbed me! You betrayed me! And what's worse, you say to my face that you told no-one, right after you had told everyone behind my back."

"Look, you're wrong... Cause I didn't do it, it must've been someone else... It could've been..."

"Ben?" Hannah cut off, "Your boyfriend who I've never met, and nor has any of those people you've told? Don't use that shit on me again!"

"Look, I don't know what your problem is, but it's not my fucking fault that your social networks knows about your pregnancy."

She was alone.

Hannah knelt down and cried. She didn't know what to do. Who could she trust now when the one she trusted most had just turned around and told everyone while she sat not two seats away.

"It's ok..." Came a voice.

Looking up, Hannah saw Luke, one of her closest friends.

"Luke..." She managed to get out through her sobs, "I don't know... What... To do..."

Luke sat down next to her, "Don't worry, obody really cares about it. We're all fine and we're with you 100% of the way. Forget Nat, we all know what she's like."

"Why did she do it? Can I even be sure it was her?"

Putting and arm around her, he replied, "I don't know what to say to you. Your trust has been broken, and I don't think you'll be trusting anyone for a while, but I'll wait be til you're better, helping you with every step of the way." He offered his hand, helping her up.

Hannah hugged Luke before finally building up the courage to face the rest of her friends.

She was greated with warm hugs of sympathy, and kind words of reassurance. Natalie walked by and frowned at them all as she saw everyone comforting her close friend, the one who she'd just betrayed.

"She can crumble for what she did to me..."
