Symphonies of Warriors: Chapter Two: Intolerable Part The bell for class rang. Akiru ran up behind LaSuburu. “You said you would call me!” “I’m sorry. I…” “You what? Forgot? You’re forgetting everything lately. You’d probably forget you’re head if it wasn’t attached to your body. Did you remember the finals are today?” “Uh-oh…” LaSuburu stood shaking her head. “Hey, cheer up,” Akiru said smacking LaSuburu on the back, “look who’s coming this way.” She turned and sees Cray walking towards them. “Cray is so cute! I’d give anything to be his girlfriend,” Akiru said lankly. “You would, but I wouldn’t. I’m going to go to class now, and go ahead and get finals out the way. I have something to do after school today.”  “Oh. Really? What do you have to do?” Akiru said turning her attention away from Cray, but by that time, LaSuburu was already going in her class. The tardy bell rang, and the hallways cleared of all the students.“You have twenty minutes to finish the forty question test. I hope you studied last night,” said the teacher. “Let’s see. The square root of one hundred, divided by two, times four is? The square root of one hundred is ten, divided by two is five, times four would be twenty. So therefore, the answer is B.” (Finally…I’m finished.) LaSuburu got up and turned her test in to her teacher. She then walked out the room. For three more hours, she was aught taking tests. After the bell rang, it was time for lunch. LaSuburu sat at the table with Akiru, Rein, Mina, and Cairie, which were her, other best friends. “So how has everything been going, LaSuburu,” Cairie asked. “Everything is okay I guess.” “Oh, well that isn’t what Akiru told us,” said Rein. “She said you’ve been forgetful lately, complaining of severe headaches, and that you’ve been drained. You, by what she told us, have been acting the same way Mina has. You two need a mirror because you look like twins right now.” Mina and LaSuburu sighed, got up from the table, and walked off together. “Maybe we said something we shouldn’t have,” Rein said. Mina and LaSuburu sat under a tree under school campus. The wind was blowing calmly, as the flowers danced, held by their roots. “So…um…LaSuburu…how’s everything been going?” “Uh…just fine...I guess.” “If someone…” “Someone, Mina?” “No…uh…some guy came to you, telling you things about…I don’t know…saying they like you or possibly even love you, would you believe them?” (Could she be a half-line…just like me…if half-lines are even real things? I don’t even know if Dementias is really real. The feather could have just been a coincidence.) “I don’t know. It would depend…you should go with what you are feeling…what you are thinking…and focus only on you and him…and don’t let other people dictate you…” LaSuburu said thinking only of Dementias at the time. “You don’t understand…I’m not…who you think I am…” “I do understand! You’re one of my best friends. “Mina stood up. “You really don’t get it. He wasn’t from here…he is a…” “Vampiric,” LaSuburu said cutting Mina off aggressively. Mina stood in shock. “So that makes you a half-line too, right Mina?” “How did you know?” “Because, I too had a visitor last night, but I ended up asleep somehow, and when I woke up, all that was left was his feather.” “No, that’s weird. How’d we end up in the same situation? But, I wasn’t put to sleep…he watched me go to sleep…his name was… is Daimen.” “The one I met, his name was…is Dementias.” “Is he cute? Did you two kiss?” “That’s a little personal…” “No. That’s a definite yes to both my questions! Just say it.” “He is…really sweet and…really, really cute. And…” “AND!” “And…” “AND!!” “He did kiss me…” Mina started screaming and jumping around everywhere. LaSuburu jumped up and covered her mouth. “You can’t…we can’t tell the others about them.” Looking serious now, Mina said, “Yeah, I know. Now let’s get to class because lunch is over.” Dementias watched with his cousin Daimen above them. “So, I guess that you were even caught, Daimen.” Daimen starred at his younger cousin. “I guess so…it’s sad to say. Our god will be displeased with us disobeying orders.” “Maybe…but…it will be worth it...or, LaSuburu will be worth it.” “For our sake.” At that moment, LaSuburu looked up in the clouds. “What’s wrong?” “I thought I heard someone call my name.” (Dementias? Are you watching me?)
