Best friends Forever? Part 1

CHAPTER 1

14 year old Elizabeth stood in the driveway until she couldn’t see the car that her best friend was riding away in. Tears filled her fiery green eyes as she sat down on the hot cement. Jordan meant everything to her. He had been through everything with her. He was there when her grandpa died, and when her parents got a divorce. They were supposed to start high school together. How was she supposed to do that without him. He was her rock, the thing that kept her going every day.

She raised her eyes to see the person that the voice belonged to. She met the hazel eyes of a little boy who was smiling like it was Christmas. He just seemed so happy to meet her that it made her smile. “I’m Elizabeth.” she said timidly. From that day on the two of them were inseparable.

Now as Elizabeth watched her best friend drive out of her life she felt hopeless. As if it wasn’t bad enough that he was moving in the first place, it turned out that he was moving to another state. Tears poured from her eyes as she had flashbacks of the two of them.

Finally she stood up and headed back to her Mom’s two story white house. Staring at her feet she made her way up the stairs to her room. She slammed the door behind her and flopped down on the bed allowing more tears to escape her eyes. Knowing now that she would have to start high school all alone only made her cry harder. She buried her face in the pillow and screamed as loud as she could. She didn’t care what her mom said all she knew was that she was alone and no amount of phone calls were going to make her feel any better about losing him.

Authors note: sorry it's so short, but I posted the next chapter as well. I have decided that I will not post more of this story unless each part reaches the rating of 10.
