CHAPTER 9

I looked up into his face and kissed him. All my life this is what I wanted and I couldn’t believe that it was finally happening. Our tongues met. It felt like I was literally in heaven his lips were so soft and he kissed me like he loved me and that as long as I was with him nothing could ever hurt me. We separated and both stood up to head back into the house. We went back into his room and laid down on the bed. He pressed play on his remote and wrapped me tightly in his arms. Neither of us said a word, but it was understood that nothing needed to be said. We watched the movie with the exception of us kissing every now and then. When the movie was over he didn’t move. He leaned down and whispered into my ear. "I want to be with you."

I pulled back so I could look at him. "You mean be your girlfriend."

"Yes, I want you to be mine."

I smiled. "I would love to you be yours."

He pulled me back to him and began to run his fingers through my hair. "I finally got you." he said.

I laughed "and I finally have you."

I rolled over onto my back and looked up at the ceiling. I really did finally have him. The man of my dreams.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked.

"You." I answered

"What about me?"

"Just how good it feels to have what my heart has wanted for so many years." I rolled back over so I was facing him.

"You know," he began, "I was actually just thinking the same thing." with that said he leaned in and kissed me. I parted my lips to let his tongue inside. He slid his leg in between mine and rolled over on top of me as our kiss intensified. He pulled his lips away from mine and began to kiss my neck softly. The smallest of moans escaped my lips. He looked up at me and smiled and yet he looked a little worried. "I promise you nothing that you don’t want to happen will happen."

"I know" I said breathlessly.

"If you want me to stop please tell me."

"I don’t want you to stop." I said somewhat seductively. And that was all it took. Our kisses became more hungry and our hands began to roam more freely. It was like a dream we made love there in his bed and it felt like nothing else in the world mattered all the problems that we had with past relationships were gone. It was just us two in love and that’s all we needed.

We laid there covered in his blankets. My head on his chest listening to his heartbeat beginning to slow. For a while we just laid there not saying anything just trying to catch our breath. He broke the silence, "you are so beautiful."

"Thank you," I said smiling.

"I know that we just started out as a couple but Kate," he said lifting my head up so that I could see his face, "I love you."

"I love you too Aaron." I said looking straight back at him. "And I have for a long time."

He smiled "I have loved you for a long time as well."

Nothing mattered to me anymore more because not matter what my brother said we had each other. I had faith in us. We both did. No matter what he said I knew that Aaron wouldn’t leave me. He was right David might not like it at first, but he would have to get over it because I knew that neither one of us would give up what we had waited so long to have.
