More than just a little girl. Part 8
|
Sorry this one is a little short but I wanted it to be kind of a cliff hanger :)
CHAPTER 8
As he opened the door to his room I started to feel a little nervous. I had never been in his room before. He took my hand and pulled me through the doorway. He took my purse and set it down on the floor next to his bed and asked me to sit down. I did. He put the first movie in and sat down next to me. Butterflies began to flap around inside my stomach. He must have known I was nervous because he looked at me and asked, "are you okay?"
"Yeah, I’m fine." I lied. The truth was I wasn’t really sure what was going to happen and it scared the hell out of me.
"Actually," He began "come here with me." he grabbed my hand pulled me out of his room and out onto the front porch. We sat down on the swing together. He slid his arm around me and looked into my eyes. "I want to talk about us." he said his voice sounding scared.
"I do too." I said honestly.
"Well, I’ve been thinking," he said, "I really think it would be best if we talk with your brother about this together."
"Really, I was thinking the same thing."
"Honestly Kate, to me it doesn’t even matter anymore what he says because whatever happens it’s worth it to be with you."
"I..." I began, but before I could finish I heard my phone ringing. I ran back into Aaron’s room and grabbed it out of my purse. "Hello," I said into the receiver.
"Hey Kate what are you doing." said my brother’s voice. Oh god I didn’t know what to say. Aaron was next to me and I saw him mouth the words "it’s ok tell him".
"I’m at Aaron’s house watching movies." I said probably sounding terrified.
"Oh well I just wanted to ask you if you were coming over tomorrow."
"Yeah I will...and David.."
"Yeah?"
"There’s something we need to talk about it’s really important."
"Ok we can talk about it tomorrow." My brother said sounding completely oblivious to what was going on under his nose.
"Alright." I said relieved not wanting tonight to be ruined, "bye."
"Bye."
I turned to Aaron. He grabbed my hand and we made our way back out onto the porch. "Everything will be fine." he said actually sounding very sure of himself.
"Ok." I said sounding a bit less sure.
"Now what were you going to say before we were interrupted." he asked.
"I was going to say that I don’t want you to have to give up anything to be with me Especially my brother’s friendship."
"Look Kate you and I both know your brother really well. I really think that yes, he might not like it at first, but he’ll get over it and if he doesn’t like I said it’s worth it to be with you."
"Well, I guess I can’t change your mind then."
"No you can’t" he said lifting my face to his and kissing me. The kiss started out being sweet and soft but we both wanted more. I slid my tongue into his mouth and the kiss became more passionate. His hand slid onto my face and then down to my side and onto my hip. He pulled away. Breathing heavily he asked, "Will you spend the night with me?"
I looked at him slightly taken aback. "Only if you promise you wont hurt me." I replied trying to sound strong.
"I will never hurt you." He said rubbing my cheek with his thumb.
