I’m the straight edge girl. I’m the smart girl. I’m the honest girl. I’m the girl that knows everything about music. I’m the pretty girl. I’m the girl who has friend’s that are up for anything, and I’m the girl they call when they need anything even an ear just to listen. You see I’m put into one of these categories and that’s it people stop tryin. They find out one of these things and that’s it they don’t need to know more I’m the girl that makes good choices. I’m the girl that has the best of everything. I’m the goody goody. They don’t know that I’m straight edge cause I’ve seen people on the ground cryin feelin like their dyin, because they’re on or drank something. They don’t know that I’m honest because I’ve been lied to all my life. They don’t know my friend’s are up for anything because they know I’ll take care of them and make sure nothing bad happens. They don’t know that the reason they see these categories about me is because that’s all I let and want them to see. They don’t know I had to get my first job when I was twelve because I needed to help pay bill’s, because my mom was on disability, or that I was the one that had to make sure the bills were out on time. They don’t know that I’m the smart girl because I need to get a scholarship for college. They don’t know that no matter how many times they tell me I’m pretty I’m never going to believe them. They don’t know I can tell you the name of every Zeppelin record and still know all the band’s that are on KROQ because music is my refuge. They don’t know that the only people that really know me the real me have known me all my life. They don’t know that my friends that really know me I’ve known since I was two. People don’t know me because they don’t try and the people that try I don’t let in because I know that if I’m hurt I won’t be able to recover. My name is Macy and this is my story.
