This is so boring. I think Mr. Luis gets even more boring every day.
Kalden's thought go straight into my head. I wonder if I could get my thoughts in his head. Kalden. Kalden, can you hear me? I am bored. Hello.
“Wow!” Kalden jumps from his seat.
“Is everything alright. Mr Thomasin.” The teacher asks.
“Yes, just it is very interesting.” Kalden really thinks he is gonna believe that.
“Yes sure it is.” The teacher mumbles something under his breath but no one knows what.
How did you do that Nadalia?
I just tried and it worked.
Well, it is cool, so what do you want to secretly talk about.
I don't know. How were your other classes.
Boring as usual. Mr. Lumber talked on and on about how this is what pine wood looks like, and this is oak and blah blah blah.
Well, thats better than my first classes. By the way Mr. Luis approved our project.
That's awesome Nadalia.
Yeah, so were do you want to go after school to work on it.
“Ms. Carmichael can you tell me what I was just talking about.” Mr. Luis asks.
Oh, crap Kalden do you know.
“I am waiting for an answer.”
Hurry read his mind. Kalden is right. I try to read his mind.
She will never be able to guess. She was to busy day dreaming. like she knows we were talking about Paul Revere. He thinks I was day dreaming.
“Paul Revere.”
“That's correct.” Mr. Luis is so freaked out.
That was a close one. Maybe we shouldn't be talking during a class Kalden.
I guess your right, but it was funny to see the look on his face when you answered right.
I walk out out of the school building hoping to get away quick, but I forgot I was supposed to work on our project together.
“Hey, are you just gonna leave me. We have a project to do.” Kalden yells out from behind me.
“Oh, sorry I forgot.”
“So were are we going to work.”
“I don't know you pick.”
“Well, I we could go to the library.”
“But we don't need anymore information.” I inform him.
“Well, we could go to your house then.”
“Well, I guess that would be okay, but can you climb up the side of a house.”
“Why?”
“Because if my mom knew she would freak.”
“Then how will we talk.”
“In thought DuH.”
He can be pretty stupid sometimes. It takes us a few minutes to get to my house.
“You climb up from that pipe.”
“Okay, but I don't think it will be easy.”
He him a few minutes to start to climb at a steady pace.
“I'll meet you inside.” I inform him.
I walk inside trying to be as unnoticed as possible, but it didn't work.
“Nadalia were have you been.” My mother stairs at me like she is ready to burst.
“School just got out. I came home as quickly as I could.”
“Well, try to be faster next time.”
“What Ever.”
I run up the stairs. A wave of my hand opens the lock. I get into the room and lock the door as I close it. I go to the window and open it. Letting Kalden in.
Finally what took you so long.
I had a run in with my mother.
Oh, well did she suspect anything.
No, she was mad it took me awhile to get home from school.
School just got out.
That's what I told her Kalden.
He gets in and I get every piece of evidence I had found online out from under my bed.
This is what I found.
Wow, Nadalia, you have been working on this.
Yeah, well I needed something to do.
“I'm not tired because I'm wired. I'm not sleepy because I'm creepy.” A voice is heard from outside my door.
Who is that.
Oh, that's just look he has been singing that song all day.
Weird.
“Luke, stop singing I am trying to get my homework done.” I yell at him.
We start to lay everything out on the floor. It takes us awhile, but finally we are down to the last pieces of evidence. Kalden and I both touch the paper at the same time. My hand stays on his for awhile, but when I realize what just happened I pull my hand away as fast as I can. We look at each other and it is hard for me to look away.
