            I wake up early in the morning this Saturday. Texting Kalden on my new phone, I tell him to meet me at the library in a half an hour. I get dressed and I put the diary into my bag. I take a notebook and a pencil. I walk to the front door, but my mother sees me.

          “What are you doing?” She makes me turn to look at her.

          “I’m going to the library for a history assignment.” Hopefully she doesn’t know I’m lying about the assignment part.

          I walk out the door. I don’t even hear what she said after that. I walk to the library it takes a while, but I made it. Kalden is already there he is pretending to look for books. I walk over to him.

          “Hey.” I say in a whisper.

          “What do we need to talk about?”

          “Come here.”

          We go to a computer and I look up the name Madeline Pesky. I go to a site a site about missing children reports. I then remember the date on the top of the diary page. I scroll down to August 4, 1999.

          “Why did you go to that date?”

          “It was the last date in this diary.” I hand him the diary.

          “Where did you find this?”

          “I found it in a secret room in my closet.”

          “That’s amazing.” He said this too loud and he got yelled at. I laughed a little.

          We get back to the website. I look at the names of missing kids from that day. She wasn’t there.

          “Maybe we should try the day after.” Kalden suggests. I go back and enter August 5, 1999. We look for the name Madeline Pesky, and sure enough it was there. It said-

          8 year old Madeline Pesky was reported missing this morning. Her parents said they heard her screaming in the night, but when they went in there she was ok. They went in there to wake her up and she wasn’t there it was like she never was. The room was empty. There were other reports like this. Like Bret Louse was missing at the age of 10, Larry Drone was reported missing at the age of 9, and Lawrence Wright was reported missing at the age of 5. All were reported on August 5. Madeline is the first girl to have this type of kidnapping. All of them have red hair. Although Madeline was called unstable when she started talking about her having powers to recreate memories she is wanted back home. If any information is found call her parents Michael and Mary Pesky.

          I start to think like there is something weird about all of these. How would a “Nightmare” kidnap kids. I am having a hard time putting the pieces together.

          “You kids need to leave the library is closing.” The librarian hovers over us.

          “Sorry we are leaving now.”

          We close the site and walk home. I get home and I go to my room. I look up the names of the other missing kids that went missing on August 5. I get them up and I print all the info. I look up and try to find every thing about them. I was about to look up the parents, but then I was called down for dinner.

          “So how was your day at the library?” My mother asks

          “Good, we didn’t finish it though.”

          “We?” She stares at me. “So what’s the report on?”

          “All the missing children that went missing on August 5 with everything in there room gone. It is really interesting.”

          “Gerry” gives me a look. I think he knows what I’m up to. Marie-Ann also looks at me, but it is more like a look of hope. I keep thinking there is something weird about her. She is always asking for help, but never telling me what she needs help with.

          “Kalden is coming over tomorrow so we can go over the report.”

          “That’s fine.”

          I get finished and I excuse myself. I walk up stairs and print pictures, houses, and parent’s location for each of the children. I look lay everything out on the floor, but before I can compare there someone knocks on my door. I shove everything under my bed. I close every site I have still up on my lap top. I walk to the door and open it up. It is “Gerry”.

          “What do you want?”

          “Just to say don’t think you will find everything there is to know on these kidnappings.”

          He then walks away. I get ready for bed. I know when I walk into my room Marie-Ann will be in there, but today she wasn’t. I was confused. I closed and locked my door. I walked into the closet to go to the secret room. I measured the size and it was the same as yesterday.

          I go to all the stories I printed out I first looked at the at the parents location. I have a feeling I should go and see them. Lucky for me they are all in Madison, WI. I keep looking, and they are all on the same street. This makes me wonder why they would live so close to each other. I can’t believe it, but I am even more shocked at what I see about the location in which the three kids were kidnapped.
