The darkness of the night permeates into my tiny bedroom, taking away the pain and the sorrow that wallows in my heart.

I close my eyes and thank the Lord for the night, but still dreading the next day's sunshine.

When I was a little girl I always remembered feeling light with glee and happiness because the sun brought a promise of joy to my day. Not anymore. Thoughts of finding a way out of this hell is like finding a needle in a hay stack. Impossible.

I close my eyes and try to clear my mind and think of only the positive. Just to sleep through the night is a blessing. A few hours of blissful sleep.

.....

"Awake girl!"

I open my eyes to see my employer, a tall male with burly hair and black eyes, with a toothless grin and putrid body odor.

"You get up, dress in doctor's uniform. 10 minutes. up, up!"

I get up and run into the lime green, filthy bathroom, used for others like me. It's the same thing everyday, no breakfast, rushed orders, and hours of the same job, but different costumes.

I finished up and found my costume in the other room, that's used  primary for finding any costume that was put on this earth.

I rushed to the next room and applied very little make-up, brushed my hair and tied it into a bun. Applied my earrings, then took one last look in the mirror and left the room.

I waited in the foyer for instructions. Five minutes went by and finally the tall burly guy came by to fetch me.

We walked to the next wing, down a long hallway to finally the room that held my hourly job.

"Don't think of doing anything funny girl," he whispered. The tall burly guy looked at me hard and cold and smiled then turned around and left me in the hallway to prepare myself.

I took a breath and straightened my costume and turned the door knob and walked cautiously in. There was no turning back now.
