Forgetful Dreaming
|
She runs through the empty forest barefoot across the dry leafs. The flakes fly up along with the dirt that escaped from the packed down soil.
She comes to an abrupt stop, and looks around. She has no idea why, or how she got here. She doesn't seem to care much, she's here now, and thats all that mattered. She liked it. She needed it. She was away from the stress of the world.
The wind blew uncontrollably causing leafs to fly up around her in a circle. Each leaf represented a memory from her life, good or bad, they were there. He first birthday was on one, then her 10th. Soon she saw her first day of high school. Then, the last leaf had this moment she was in now. They stopped. A loud buzzing overcame around her.
She looked everywhere for the source of it. Her brain finally clicked and her eyes opened as her hand slapped on the brown piece of plastic that read: 6:15.
The leafs were gone, the released soil was gone. The stress was back. She was alive.
