“You are crazy! Let me go!” I shouted. I tried for the door again but he put his hands on my shoulders and held me from going anywhere. “Let me go or I’ll… I’ll scream!” I threatened. At this he gave a hint of a smile. It was beautiful.

“No one will here you” he stated.

“What do you want from me?” I asked in a small voice stepping back from him, but before I could get an answer from him the metal door opened and a woman came in. She looked up at me and Rowen.

“You’re awake” she stated shutting the door.

“Who are you?” I knew I sounded rude but I wasn’t in the mood. She walked over slowly to stand with Rowen.

“I’m Braven, Rowen’s sister” she said smiling. What the hell was going on?! I screamed in frustration.

“Danielle please sit down and we will explain everything. Hell what do I have to loose at this point? I sat down, Braven sat down on the couch next to me and Rowen took his seat on the arm of the chair again.

“Are you trying to tell me that vampires are real?” I started off.

“Very much so” Braven nodded.

“That isn’t possible”

“Anything is possible” she said.

“What happened to me?”

“You were attacked and bitten by a vampire by the name of Caleb” Rowen told me.

“And I’m not a vampire?”

“No, to become a vampire they have to drink your blood, but you also have to drink their blood” Braven informed me.

“But he only drank your blood, but that doesn’t me there wont be some effects” Rowen added.

“Effects?” I questioned.

“You are now in fact part vampire” he told me. Part vampire? Right. Okay that makes sense. NOT!

“What exactly does that entail?”

“Well, you will be much stronger, faster, and your blood will run in a lower temperature.” He explained.

“Will be? What do you mean will be?”

“The transition doesn’t happen over night, and that is why you have to stay here. You won’t know your own strength, it won’t be safe.” Rowen admitted looking down at his hands.

“But I can’t stay here” I protested looking at Braven for some understanding. Rowen looked angry. “What will my friends think? What will my family think? People well be looking for me! I can’t stay here!” I pleaded. It was silent for a moment.

“She’s right Rowen” Braven finally spoke up; Rowen gave her a stern look. “She needs to go home. To show people that she is alright.” She said. Rowen looked very angry but there was a worry in his eye. I didn’t know if this worry was for me or for the fact that I could be exposed.

“You must tell no one” Rowen said giving in.

“I promise.”
