8 weeks pass by so very slowly when you’re injured but they did eventually pass and my cast came off. Both Brie and Tessa came with me and both of them couldn’t stop laughing at how long my leg hair had gotten, it was pretty disgusting. I wouldn’t be playing any sports on my leg anytime soon but it was still doing much better. I was spending a lot of my time with Evan and Landon these days. Evan calls me ‘Lany’ because he can’t/won’t say Lacey. I eventually sat down with my dad and told him about Evan, he thought I was joking at first but then I told Landon to bring him over and that’s when it all became real with my dad. But he was very supportive and offered to baby-sit anytime. Sex hasn’t come up since we last talked about it the first time I had met Evan. I know that it is a rough subject for him and it will take sometime for it to actually happen, but in the mean time I started to take birth control just in case that someday happens soon. Now that Evan isn’t a secret anymore I have a lot more time with Landon. I finally told the boys and they are totally fine with it. It is nice because now I get to hang with everyone together and Evan even comes to sometimes.

“Landon he is so adorable!” Brie said tickling him as we all sat on the grass across the street from the pizza parlor where we just had lunch.

“I guess I should have told ya’ll sooner that I had a kid” he laughed, I shot him a Hell-Yeah-You-Shoulda look, he mouthed the word ‘sorry’ to me.

“Well I think I should get going, Evan needs a nap” Landon said getting to his feet and picking up Evan.

“Do you want me to come with you?” I asked Landon.

“No that’s okay I was thinking I was just going to take a nap with him I am a bit tired myself.” he looked at Evan and told him to say ‘bye’ to everyone. I was a little hurt that he didn’t want me to come with him even if he was only taking a nap but I brushed it off trying not to let it get to me.

“Bye-bye Lany!” Evan waved over Landon’s shoulder as he walked away. I waved back at him smiling.

“Everything okay with you and Landon?” Brie asked eating a left over slice of pizza.

“Yeah” I nodded “I think so” she gave me a funny look then brushed it off.

“So I hear that Hannah is going to be throwing a graduation party next weekend are you guess going?” she asked the group.

“I am pretty sure we are” Brie said looking at Brayden who nodded his head.

“What about you Lacey?” Tessa turned to me.

“I’m not sure we have to find a babysitter for Evan, plus Landon and been acting a little weird lately” I admitted.

“I think it has something to do with the social worker coming tomorrow” Tyson said taking a bite out of a piece of pizza. Everyone just starred at him. “What?” he said with is mouth full.

“Were you planning on telling this anytime soon?” Tessa said ripping the piece of pizza out of his mouth.

“Hey” Tyson protested “I thought you knew” he said taking the pizza back from Tessa. Well this explains a lot

“Did he tell you anything else about this social worker?” I asked Tyson.

“He said something about a social worker having to come once every year till Evan is I don’t know older?”

“Why wouldn’t he tell me?” I said more to myself.

“He said he didn’t want you to worry and that he is stressed out enough as it is and he doesn’t want to deal with the stress of having to tell you” he said swallowing the last bite of pizza.

“What?” I was a little surprised “He told you that I stress him out?” Tyson looked at me realizing his mistake on the way he said the words.

“He didn’t say that” he tried to recover, Tessa elbowed him a little.

“I need to go see him.” I told everyone.

“Are you sure you should do that just now?” Brie asked. “I mean maybe he needs a little time to get ready for this social worker person”

“Yeah but it’s me, he usually tells me everything” I tried not to sound like a needy girlfriend but I am sure that is how I was coming across.

“Yeah like he told you about Evan” Tyson chuckled, Tessa slapped him hard across the chest “Ow! Sorry to soon I guess” he said rubbing is chest.

“Yeah too soon” Tessa said scowling. I smiled a little seeing them.

“I know you guys are probably right but I still feel like I need to see him.” I said again.

“Then you should go” Brayden said finally joining the conversation “If your gut is telling you to go talk to him then it is probably right” I smiled as someone finally took my side, then without another word I jumped up and started waking to Landon’s house before anyone could protest.
