“Please don’t cry Lacey” Landon pleaded, he brushed the hair from my face as he leaned his forehead against mine. There was a knock at the door and Brie, Brayden, Tessa, and Tyson all came into the moment making the moment really awkward.

“Hey guys” Tessa said knowing that they had just interrupted something probably important.

“Hi” I croaked.

“We heard there had been an accident” Tyson put in trying to break the silence. I really didn’t want to explain everything I was sore and tired.

“She was rear ended and rolled into a ditch” Landon said as if reading my mind, and he put it much simpler than I would have.

“Oh baby” Tessa whined and came to my side “Hey guys will you give us girls a minute”

“Yeah sure” Brayden said then turned and left with Tyson, Landon however was reluctant to leave my side but in the end he eventually did.

“Lacey what the hell were you doing out on the road in the storm?” Brie asked “When me and Brayden left you at Landon the storm had just about started so I figure that you must have left there pretty quick” Brie was always the smart one you couldn’t get anything past her, one of her favorite hobbies is to watch movies or TV and point out all the mistakes the directors made when filming. I debated whether or not I should tell them about Evan and in the end I decided to tell them they are my friends and I can tell them anything.

“Landon has a son” I breathed.

“What?!” Brielle nearly yelled.

“How the eff did he manage that?” Tessa put in. I then proceeded to tell them the story of what happened after Brie and Brayden left.

“What are you going to do?” Tessa asked sitting at the end of my bed.

“I don’t know, I love Landon with all my heart and I cant imagine being without him, but…”

“… but can you trust him?” Brielle finished for me while stroking my hair.

“Well that’s the big question now isn’t it” I said closing my eyes, I could feel myself drift off into sleep land. And when I woke up again I could feel someone laying next to me, I could feel their slow deep breathing and I knew Landon was sleeping next to me. I tilted my head to face him; I brushed his face lightly causing him to stir in his sleep. He opened his eyes and yawned.

“Oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to wake you” I breathed.

“No, no it’s okay, I would rather be away with you anyway” he rubbed my arm.

“So what are we going to do about us?” I asked.

“I can’t imagine living without you Lacey, please don’t make me lose yet another thing in this world that I love” he pleaded.

“Landon I don’t want to lose you or leave you but I don’t know if I can trust you either”

“Lacey please just give me another chance”

“How do I know that you are not just hiding Evan from me, how do I know that there isn’t more?”

“There isn’t I swear!” he propped himself up on his elbow. “I promise”

“I love you” I told him looking into his eyes.

“I love you too”
