I know I should have told them that Lucas was at my house but I couldn’t say anything. The officers thanked me for my time and left me to sit in the room and think. Landon came in after about 5 minutes.

“What did they want?” Landon asked placing his hands on my shoulders and rubbing them a little.

“Let’s get to class” I smiled up at him then stood up grabbing his hand and pulled him out of the room into the hallway.

“Lacey are you going to tell me what they wanted?” Landon persisted.

“They wanted to know where Lucas was” I answered walking into the class room.

“Did you tell them?” he asked looking me right in the eye.

“No” I said in a little voice.

“We will deal with this together okay?” he said pulling me into a hug and kissing the top of my.

“Hey Lacey have you seen Brie?” Tessa asked coming up to us.

“No why?” I asked, Tessa had a worried look on.

“Well she went to pick you up this morning and she still hasn’t gotten here yet”

“Wait she went to my house?” I repeated.

“Yeah she call this morning and said she was going to pick you up and bring you out for breakfast as a surprise, oh sorry for ruining the surprise” Tessa smiled a little. My mind was racing, okay maybe she just decided to skip today, or maybe her car broke down. There are so many possibilities of why she was not here yet. But I couldn’t take any chances I reached into Landon’s pocket and grabbed the keys to the truck and took off running down the hall.

“Lacey!” I heard Landon yelling after me but I was to fast for him and got to the car first. I put the keys in the ignition and sped off just as Landon burst out the front doors with Tessa behind him. If Brielle had gone to my house she might be with Lucas and now knowing what he is capable of I was worried for Brie’s life. I turned onto my street and my fears had been confirmed, Brielle’s car was in the driveway. I didn’t even bother taking the keys out of the car I just hopped out and started running for the front door but then stopped as soon as I reached it. I was insane for not bringing Landon with me or anyone for that matter. If Luke was really in there with Brie what the hell could I do about it? But I didn’t have time to get help I had left all my stuff at school including my purse which had my cell phone in it. I opened the door quietly and shut it quietly so that I would have the advantage of surprise. Lucas’s room was on the main floor; I began to walk down the hallway towards his room. I could hear movement and I knew he was in there. I looked through the crack of the door and saw Brielle on the bed with nothing but her jeans and bra on. Her mouth was duck taped, her hands were tied behind her back, and her feet were tapped together. She was crying. I put my back to the wall and covered my mouth as tears stung the corners of my eyes. My best friend was in there hurting and in pain and I didn’t know what to do about it. Luke was no where in sight but then I heard the shower in his bathroom turn on. I needed to get Brie out of there while he was in the shower but I needed to work up the courage to go into the room. Before entering the room and tip toed to the kitchen and grabbed a knife to cut the tape from her hands. I took another glance through the door crack before slowly opening the door. Brielle’s eye’s widened as she saw me I put my finger to my lips telling her to ‘shh’. I got to the bed and started cutting the tape around her hands. When her hands were free she pulled the tape off her mouth.

“Lacey oh my god! Lacey I am so glad you’re here!” She cried.

“Did he do anything? Did he hurt you?” I whispered tears falling from my own eyes.

“No not yet” she shook her head as the tears came streaming down her cheeks.

“Let’s hurry up and get out of here” I said heading for her feet to cut the tape from them, but then I heard the shower shut off. I looked wide eyed at Brie then slowly turned to see Luke at the bath room door with just his boxers on clenching his jaw staring me down.
