Waking up Friday morning I couldn’t wait for the day to end, because that weekend was Homecoming. I got Lauren and Gini to go. I walked in to school with my best friend Gini walking by my side. I normally don’t go to my locker, unless I need a book. This morning was different, different because there was a rose tapped on MY locker. At first, I just thought it was a mistake; they wanted the girl who’s locker was next to mine. She was pretty, skinny, and seemed like a great girl. I walked over and grabbed the note, Gini; my best friend came up along side me, and asked, “Who’s the rose, from Amanda?” “I don’t know,” I answered “What does it say?” She asked “I’ve loved you since the day I set my eyes on you last year in math. Meet me at the back door before you go to lunch” I read “Who could it be” I asked “Kai!” She answered “No it couldn’t be I thought he was going with Hailey” I told her “I don’t know I'm sure that its Kai” She told me The morning went by so slowly. the classes I did have with friends, they all told me its from Kai, and I was starting to believe it. At the same time I kind of didn’t want it to be Kai. 3rd period, my favorite, class English. Aaron my best guy friend sat down in the desk behind me. “so I heard, you got a rose this morning” he said.“yeah, but I don’t know who its from” I said.“are you stupid! Its from Kai!” he said, looking at me like I was stupid. When class was over, Aaron and I walked to 4th period together. Our classrooms were right next to each other, he had biology, and I had digital art. The lost period by, far, I couldn’t talk, if I did, no one really listened. I didn’t have very close friends in this class, defiantly my least favorite class. Finally it was 5th period and I couldn’t stand it anymore. As soon as I stood up to leave as Ms. Miller said “You guys can go.” I was one of the first out of the door. I didn’t have to go to my locker but I figured that he wouldn’t be there yet. I waited by Laurens, Gini’s and my locker for about 2 or 3 minutes. I couldn’t wait any longer I went down the stairs and braced myself before I opened the doors. When I opened the doors there, I saw Kai. I smiled but at the same time, I thought, “what if it’s not him” “Kai?” “Amanda before you say anything I want to tell you I'm sorry for last year I should have just told you I mean I told Lauren but I made her swear to never to tell you.” He said before I could say anything. He reached over grabbed my hand and whispered “you look wonderful today…” then he kissed me more passionate then any kiss I had ever had before. I stepped closer to him and kissed him. “Wow” I said when my lips pulled away from his. “Do you want to eat lunch together?” Kai asked “I would love that but I have to buy my lunch,” I said “Ok” he said We walked to the cafeteria, my hand just slide right in to his. We saw an open table so we took it. I wanted to wait for the lunch line to get shorter. When there was no line left, I went and bought my lunch. The whole time I had the biggest grin on my face. I paid for my lunch, as I was walking back to sit down with Kai I saw that the table was full of kai and his ex girlfriend Hailey, and some other girls. I thought he wanted to eat lunch with just me. I didn’t go back to the table where Kai was, I went and sat down with Gini and Lauren. As I put my food down I said “Men suck but ill be right back”. I went back to the table where Kai and I were sitting at I grabbed my bag and starts back to where Gini and Lauren were. Kai saw I was pissed. He came running after me. I sat back down with Gini and Lauren I didn’t really say anything. At the same time, Gini and Lauren asked, “What happened?” I didn’t say anything, I just sat there looking down at my food and the table . Kai walked up. He sat down next to me and asked, “What’s wrong” “You” I answered “What...What did I do?” I looked at Gini and said, “What did you do?” “I have no clue what I did” “Please Gini, Lauren help me out here what did I do wrong?” They both just rather looked away.
“Will you at least talk to me Amanda?” “I’ll listen to you” “Amanda I'm sorry for whatever I did” I looked at him and thought “that’s just who he is but that’s what I love about him” “Kai I just thought you wanted to have lunch with just me not hailey, if you want to have lunch with her, then I'm sorry we cant be together, she hates me, and I hate her!” “She’s a friend, well not to much of a friend; just…she needed to talk.” “Yea she’s pretty, skinny, and flirty, and still completely in love with you!” He hugged me and said, “I'm sorry, I know, it’s not enough but I want to be with you, not her I swear.” “Ok,” I said Kai had already finished eat, but I hadn’t. I could tell Gini and Lauren were talking about something they didn’t want kai to hear. Because they didn’t start were they left off. I started talking about basketball and how Lauren and Gini should both join, they didn’t got for it. When we were eating Ian Gini’s crush came over and sat next to Gini. Gini face turned as red as I had ever seen it. Gini and Ian were flirting anyone who walked by could tell that those two were crushing hard on each other. The bell rang and we all just migrated to the north building. Kai, Gini and I all had math next. Kai and I were waiting for Gini we were all going to walk to math together but no we couldn’t pull Gini away form Ian. I tried throwing a piece of paper at her but it didn’t work. Kai and I started walking to math without her. Gini caught up with us and she had the little girl smile on her face the one that said, “I really like him.”“I couldn’t tell,” I said jokingly.

Math class went by so fast. The only reason it did was that I was passing notes with Kai the whole time. We talked about so many things in such little time. Next was Spanish, with Alex, Alex, and Anthony…after I told them what had happened with Kai, they thought it was so sweet. Well Anthony didn’t but that’s just because he’s a guy.
