I didn’t want to see or talk to Dustin or Katie for the rest of the day. But I didn’t feel like unpacking. Around nine, the sun was setting, I climbed out my window, and on to the roof. The sky with the orangeish, pinkish, colors spread through the sky, it looked beautiful. At this time last night, I was finishing backing and daydreaming about Dustin and I. we were walking along the beach hand in hand, till we found the perfect stop to cuddle and watch the sunset. Instead I'm sitting on my roof alone, watching the sunset alone. While Dustin and Katie are out there together kissing, and falling for each other even more. I cant tell him how I feel now, he looks so happy with her. What was I thinking anyways, he would never like me, as he loves Katie. Let’s face it he would never choose me over her.

I started singing the song amazed by Lonestar softly to myself. Suddenly, I heard a much deeper voice singing along, I looked over to my room, no ones there, I look down to the driveway, and there stood Dustin. “Can I come up?” he asked.

“I guess,” I answered

He ran up the porch stairs, opened the screen door, and climbed the stairs leading to my room. When he opened the door I didn’t look over my eyes were glued to the sunset. He climbed out the window. “Where’s you girlfriend?” I asked staring out in to the sunset.

“She’s getting her nails done,” he answered as he sat down next to me. “It’s beautiful, out here ain’t it?” he said.

“Yeah it is,” I answered.

“Almost as beautiful, as…” he started saying “never mind.”

“Almost as beautiful, as what?” I asked looking over at him.

“It’s nothing,” he answered.

“Oh, come on just tell me!” I argued.

“No” he said smiling and shaking his head.

“You right I probably don’t want to know most likely its about Katie,” I said.

“You hate her don’t you?” he asked.

“I wouldn’t say I hate her, I just don’t like her that much,” I answered.

“Well I will tell you it wasn’t about Katie,” he said just to make me want to know more.

“Oh come on you just teasing me, and you love it.”

“Yup”

By now, the sun had completely set, and the streetlights had, turned on. I laid down and looked up at the stars. “Look there’s a shooting star!” I said.

“Where?” he asked as he laid down beside me.

“Right there” I pointed a little to the right. He grabbed my hand and said “make a wish.”

I wish I could tell Dustin how I really feel about him!  I wished to my self

“What’d you wish for?” he asked as he let go of my hand.

“I can’t tell you!” I proclaimed, “or else it wont come true.”

“Ill tell you want I wished for if you tell me.” He looked over at me with a smile.

“You go first then” I said.
