There were only two things that I could comprehend at that moment, the consistent drumming of my pulse in my ears and the pounding of my sore feet upon the cold, hard cement.

I ran, my breath ragged and yet no matter how much i gasped for air it came up shallow and cheap.

Rivulets of sweat drooled down my temples and with each step i took while i ran, my feet felt as if they were to plaster themselves within the cement and unattatch themselves to the remainder of my shivering, weak body.

Deep inside my mind voices were confabulating with conflict, not being able to compromise under any circumstances. Go back, Go back, one side hissed, No, no, see what lurks ahead! shouted the other. I couldn't take it any longer.

All of a sudden a luminous light shone ahead which was blinding after the long colourless tunnel. I weak smile of relief structured upon my lips and i slowly started to slow down, turning into a normal walking pace. The light warmed my body and i could now see the deep wounds which had formed when i had continously fallen over which stung with a deep bitter stabbing pain on my feeble knees. It was the only thing i could feel not only because my hold was completely numb.....
