I put them in danger with every breath I take. I am nothing more than an abomination. It's a miracle that they love me after everything I've put them through, everything I've done. Someday they will realize why I'm leaving, why I can't stay. Someday maybe they won't hate me for abandoning them. I hope they know that I love them and I always will... Reynata stares at her most recent home from the relative concealment of the shadows. Tears stream down her cheeks as she listens to the soft patter of the falling rain. It wasn't really the building that mattered so much as the people within. After all, home is where the heart is. Rey smiled weakly at this remembering the first time she had ever heard the saying so many years ago, back when she could still have rightfully called herself innocent. "They don't deserve this." She breathes barely above a whisper her voice thick with choked emotions. Her hands tighten into fists at her side. She turns resolutely toward the wooded area once behind her. She knew she couldn't change her destiny, fore that's what she truly believed it was, but she could give it new direction. Rey takes a deep breath and begins her trek. She has a long way to go and dawn isn't far off. As she places one reluctant foot before the other, she slowly regains her determination. She sets off with a new fire in her steps, a new purpose: a hope for a new life and for her redemption. Little does she know others have much darker uses in mind for her particular talents.
